    Re: MLB 13 The Show Q & A Thread

Has anyone else experienced this problem:

In season mode (not sure if its the same for franchise) during the offseason, there are randomly a bunch of computer generated players with overalls in the 90s thrown in the free agent pool. What's worse than this, a year after you sign them they regress majorly, going into the 60s or the 70s, even though most of them are in their mid to late 20s. This is a really odd phenomenon and it kind of ruins the mode.

Could someone check to see if pitchers' pitch counts are correct with Result Play on during teammate/opponent ABs? In previous games, only the result pitches counted.

        Has anyone seen this issue:

        Routine grounder to an infielder.

Infielder has the ball bounce off his glove.

Batter strides safely into First Base.

Play should be called an Error, obviously.

HOWEVER .... every time I have seen this (four times), it is called a Single.

Have you fellas seen this also?

        Thanks.

I've had a few things I noticed a couple times has anyone else noticed reaching on errors counting as groundouts there for not contributing to OB percentage?

And wonky logic for IBB? I was down a run 1 out with a man on second. The pitcher threw a first pitch strike to Cano then IBB him. Why throw the pitch?

lol, find that one funny. I could understand if 1st pitch was a ball(where pitcher was just seeing if batter would chase it) and then if batter doesn't swing, just walk him, but that makes no sense.

Maybe the strike the pitcher threw was a borderline one(where if you swung,it'd be a grounder to 3rd or something?), and since you didnt? They just decided to walk and try for double play.

Yes, I've seen that intentional walk issue a couple of times too--after a 1st pitch strike. I think it's a bug.

Actually it's an official MLB stat. Reaching on an error works like an out in your average and does not raise your on-base percentage. so they have it right.

You are right about the on base percentage. It is displaying as ground out on text and log instead of reaching on error.

If there's only gonna be 1 roster update per week, how will "The Show Live" work? Since throughout the week, guys get called up/sent down. So if that happens, how can the show live have accurate lineups if rosters are only updated every sunday.

And has SCEA said anything about the date of 1st roster update? Will it be on March 31st(Sunday,which is also first game of season), or April 7(first Sunday after the season starts)

The Show Live updates are separate from the downloadable weekly roster updates and will be updated daily.

Playing diamond dynasty, in the middle of a CPU game against Texas, when all of a sudden my swing feedback thing goes away.

I've looked through all of the setting while I'm in the game, but once I get back to diamond dynasty's home screen will I be able to turn it back on? How?

Does starting the throw meter before my fielder catches the ball cause more errors? It seems like when I start my throw to 2nd for a DP before my infielder gets the ball, he usually will botch it. When I don't start the meter until the ball hits the glove, it is usually error free. Problem is, I prefer to get a start on the meter before the animation so I can easily throw to first.

I also notice this sometimes in the outfield in a tag up situation, my outfielder will just drop a routine fly ball.

                          Anyone else getting this?

Yesterday when I was playing my franchise, Carl Crawford hit a double off of the Green Monster. Carlos Gonzalez misplayed it after it hit the green monster and bounced away, and they called the whole thing an error, and Carl Crawford stood on 3rd 0-3. I wonder what's causing things like this.

I saw this in the bugs, but I was only the 4th person to vote it up & it was posted on 3/11

                              Is anyone else experiencing this?

When I do a Fantasy Draft, the AI will give teams 15 (or 14) pitchers, and only 2 backup players (occasionally 3).
                              ..
I have done this controlling one team, controlling all teams, with default and 3/5/13 rosters. They start out Spring Training with 8 or 9 relievers, and keep it to the season.
                              ..
Normally, there is a backup C and one backup IF for every roster I do not change myself. Sometimes it will be a C and 2 players, but usually not.
                              ..
                              NEW:
In Spring Training, only 25 players are on the Major League roster, not 40 as it is supposed to be...going into the regular season, these 25 stay, which is why there are so many pitchers (the other 15 that are SUPPOSED to be on the Spring Roster start at AAA and never move).

Anyone else had an issue in franchise where regardless of average, Derek Jeter is always first or second in the league. He was hitting like 300 while Cano was batting 400 (early in the season), but when he (derek) came to the plate it said he was either leading the league, or second. I mean he's the man, but come on. Tried reading through the bugs, didn't seem to notice it there.
