Just picked up a PS3/Show13 and I I think I saw the answer, but wasn't sure. How long is the install process? I'm asking because I may go home and hook everything up on my lunch break.

It took 20 minutes to install the 10GB option and another couple minutes for the update for the game.

RTTS Question - Why do people use the Slider Adjustment? Specially the Pro Slider posted on the site like TNK, Amors....etc. Any specific benefits you get by using those sliders or it just make game more interesting like harder to hit than the default setting for CPU and User? I am sorry i am just confused here.

Also, Swinging on every single pitches and specially those outisde the strike zone does it effect your chances of being promoted, even though your are raking in numbers? Last question, Does changing the sliders effects your chances of being promoted i.e. leaving default slider has better/faster/sooner chance of being promoted to next level than moving everything to the right for Human Contact, Power & Timing. Thanks for the help guys.

How exactly does classic pitching work?

In short, it's an accuracy vs. effort mechanic. Short button presses yield more accurate results, but holding it will exert more effort (with less accuracy of course.) - pitcher ratings make up the remainder of the pitch outcome.

You can always switch your pitching difficulty to "Beginner" and it will walk you through it as you go.

What the hell did SECA do when they came to naming the Toronto Blue Jays Coaches. No Gibby (John Gibbons) instead I stuck with Adam Schefller??? for 4 year, and all his coaching attributes are in the negative. Out of the 5 coaches only name I recognize is Dwayne Murphy.

Is there anyway I can fire these Joke coaches and hire the real coaches??

On the settings screen (about halfway down) there is a "Use as Default" option.

Also, if you create/save a settings set, you can always move the R-stick on the team select screen to scroll through all your settings files. You will see the settings 'name' on the controller... that way, every player can have their own settings if they want.

For those that play RTTS, have you seen your 3rd base coach giving signals this year (hit-and-run while batting or steal when on 1st, etc.) or did they take that out completely?

I haven't played too much yet, but haven't seen it. I stole 2nd on my own once and made it, but wasn't sure if I would risk getting benched for going without a signal...

Its ok, you can get into my post. I know I was inaccurate with # of coach and the spelling of the fake Gibby. Came upstairs to use the computer, was going on what I could remember.

Thank you for answering so quickly, but is there a way to fire/hire new coach before my 1st franchise year, or am I taking a ride up ****s creek on this.

I notice your answering a lot of questions for poster. Another question I have is: I simulated spring training and players ratings are fluctuating a lot. 15 point jumps for some. Is there anyway to avoid this other than playing every spring training game?
