    Re: MLB 13 The Show Q & A Thread

Is there a way to pre-load substitutions so the player i want to sub out doesn't walk up, the reason i ask is i saw the cpu bring out a pinch hitter without the replaced player walking up.

Also what counts as a runner left on, heard the ground announcer(end game) say i had none left on where i know i twice had runners on 3rd before the 3rd out.
Checked the game log and neither team had any which i know is wrong unless i am not understanding the rule.

Anyone know if there is a fix for these lines on the infield?

That is odd because I was playing in leagues and it was normal. That is why I did not understand why people were having a problem.

With the hitting-- why do the parenthesis like flex or widen on certain pitches? I've been paying close attention but I am not sure what makes them do this.

Does the game track season-by-season walks, on-base-percentage, and/or stolen bases? I'm not finding it on the player information, just at-bats, hits, home runs, RBIs, and average.

I haven't filed a bug report, but I think there is an error with left on base (LOB) tracking. I've left the bases loaded or a couple of guys on and it will OFTEN read LOB: 0 in the game log. It's not a big deal for me, but I think there is definitely something wrong with the tracking of that.

I think the game is simulating how you have more time to react to slower pitches by increasing the PCI dynamically. I find PCI (in the feedback after the pitch) is generally larger with an off-speed pitch, probably because of this.

I think three definitely is. I played a game yesterday where the computer left the bases loaded 3 consecutive innings so I went to check their total LOB and it had 0s for every inning.

Does LOB affect any stats either for batter's or pitchers or is it only relevant to the current game.

edit: Thanks joeT . Sabermetrics , never heard it before.

I'm pretty sure it's for in-game only. I don't think it affects any stats that are tracked by The Show. I don't even think it's shown in the box score, though it IS something that most real box scores do show. Since it's incorrect, I'm glad it isn't shown. Useful for seeing missed opportunities really.

There may be some advanced sabermetrics that use LOB for batters and pitchers, but I don't think they are tracked for the Show. Nevertheless, it should probably be fixed.

Is anyone else seeing the Opening Day ceremony stuff in the beginning of every franchise game? It's weird.

Any reason why when you play online that we still can't choose uniforms and players are still in spring training gear?
