You are wrong! This is not on gamers end. This is a console for God's sake, it is the same for everyone! Or at least very close to the same. The devs have to optimize the performance for the PS3 and on top of that this is a ps3 exclusive.

I'm not gonna delete my stuff from my ps3 in order to play the Show. And one question: how is it possible that the Show 11 and 12 played smoothly on my PS3 and 13 is not. They have changed something that is causing this. They need to find it ASAP! I've played over 500 games with the previous two Shows, this is not acceptable.

Dude, calm down. Everyone has different experiences. Not everyone is experiencing what you are.
No one person is right or wrong.
Everyone is here for the same purpose, to find a solution to the issue while waiting for a patch.

Do you guys have stutters other than the pitching one?

I have stutters when a putout is made, when I'm defending, especially when throwing to first, and stutters during cutscenes especially during batter walk ups.

I have it mostly when I'm batting vs AI picthing. But I have had the stuttuer when I was pitching as well but very rare.

It's so random that you have no idea when and where it ill pop up. Maybe its easier than we think to fix becuase it could come down to a performance issue and they can just fix the overall performance of the game. But who knows....

All of our testing and theroies seem just random suggestions. There has to be someone at SCEA head office who is experienced in this area that can make a determination.

The lack of communication minus the "In Progress" message on the official bugs list has been brutal. Why bother having community managers that act as a liason between us and the developers.

The truth is everyone has this issue but it affects everyone differently in terms of how they are seeing it. So maybe its just an overall stability patch or a pitcher animation patch?

Your guess is as good as mine.

I respect your right to have your own opinion, but I just feel there has to be something on the gamers end since it's not happening to everyone. Why is it happening to you and not me? What am I doing differently than you? What is going on different inside my PS3 or my TV than yours to make mine run flawlessly and yours and so many others run with a stutter?

Some people have hundreds of GB of data saved on their PS3. Some people have crappy TV's. Some people have mediocre TV's. Some people have mediocre or good TV's that are not on the optimal settings for a PS3......there are too many variables.

.....and this is why it more than likely will not be fixed. How can they ever begin to think about how to fix a problem that is not consistent?

What would you rather they be doing?
Working feverishly on a fix, or wasting time responding to every issue on here?

I trust they are aware of the issue and are working on a fix.

Um sorry to disappoint you, but it is not Russell's job to be HERE to address us.
This is a 3rd party COMMUNITY forum. Not Dev forum!
He is under no obligation what-so-ever to visit this site or any other 3rd party site.
I doubt he is even obligated to be on TSN, but Im certain hes not obligated to respond.
The role of a Community Manger is not to answer every question put before him.
His role is to compile the issues reported in the Bug reporter and deal with them accordingly.
He is here on his own volition, and for that, must of us here are grateful for his time.

The trouble is that people want the communication, but many are never satisfied with it unless it's what they want to hear. Other than to simply repeat what we already know (that it's "in progress"- which actually was, in fact, repeated by a dev already) there isn't much anyone can say until they find the cause (or determine they can't) and KNOW it will or won't be patched (no sense in riling people up with potentially false info).

And I'd gear up for a bit of a wait on the patch front too as, even if they can find a fix, I doubt they rush it out over taking a bit more time and try to address more issues.

Hope I'm not jinxing myself but so far through five play now games I haven't seen it. I installed the 10 Gb from disk with my slim ps3 not connected to internet. In fact, my ps3 hasn't been connected at all since I got the game so i haven't entered online pass yet or downloaded any updates. I get menu music stutters but nothing else.

For anyone with stuttering, have you tried disconnecting from Internet entirely not just psn? I don't know if there was a release day patch or roster update but maybe get rid of those too?

Remember Skyrim? PS3's had a horrible stuttering problem with that game. Wonder if MLB's problem and Skyrim problem are related in some way?

Quick question, I am doing the database rebuild. I uninstalled The Show, but left Hitman, and WWE 13 with all of their data installed, as I didn't want to lose my progress. Uninstalled every other game I had. Will the two I left on there make a difference, should I uninstall them and try again?

If its just those 2 games you should be fine.
It's more about deleting old unused files we all seem to accumulate.

Happy to say that I have been playing about an hour after the rebuild. Not a single stutter to this point. It is a small sample size, but looking good so far.
