The one negative about doing a closer RttS is you don't get that many skill points per game. So it makes it a bitch to boost up my stats.

Yeah. Not only do you not get that many skill points per game, you also don't play every game and sometimes you can go a week without pitching if your team is on a losing streak.

I stock pile my training points when i go with a closer, actually i do that with any player i create.. i have one closer in AAA, and he has 1,978 training points.. that's what you have to do as a closer .. i use points just enough to pass goals, even sometimes failing goals to save them up for when u really need them.. i'm also one that likes to stay longer in the minors, i don't want to get the call up to the majors when i'm not ready.. like i said, i don't mind staying longer in the minors, and even getting the closer role taking away and being a middle reliever for awhile, that;s even better for awhile cause you can get 3 or 4 innings a work a game and save even more points.

At one point, I went two or three weeks with just 2 or 3 appearances.

I just received 44 points from a 12 pitch at bat, I ended up getting a double out of it.

You know you can sign with your Phillies when your player is officially a free agent for the first time.

Im thinking of getting mlb 13. In rtts if i want to create a fast player, is he fast right out of the gate or i need to put points into it so he can be faster. In mlb 12 a fast player would not run as fast as he should.

I made a SP for the Astros won't buy any points earn it all this time turned off the injuries so i don't get called up too early IT MIGHT BE unrealistic to have it off but too many ACL injuries in the first month

yeah i hear you on injuries, my closer just got off the 60 day disabled list with a shoulder separation .. yeah i never buy points either, i just like to stock pile them as i go along, save them up until i really feel i need them.

I have a closer who can hit 103mph (rfb & 4seam) yet whenever batters swing late they get hits... I don't get how that is physically possible, it may be that I'm playing on legend but still smh

I've created a CF that was built for speed. I was 65 after creation. My only problem with that guy (and the main reason I switched to a RF with more power and less speed) is that I had almost no power or contact, so that made it difficult to hit.

Defensively and speed wise, it was really good for an 18 year old in AA. The guy was 50 overall to start the season.
