The Padres wouldn't accept Matt Harrison in a Headley deal though. They'd only take prospects. SDG likes to use Petco to their advantage and turn scrubs with bad fly ball rates into decent pitchers.

It would bankrupt you in prospects if you do the Price trade also. Probably Brinson + Perez + Sardinas. And, yes I agree it would depend on how Headley's doing.

Not to be rude, but to get help here you've got to be a lot more specific. Some good things to include: who are you willing to deal?, what are you looking for (age/position/handedness/attributes desired)?

ahh ok. I've only did a couple batting practices with him so I'm not sure how good he is

Sorry, probably should of been more specific, I'm an idiot-- anyways, they're pretty out of it so they're really looking for some decent young talent, I want it to be realistic so some guys they could trade for starters are Pettite, Chamberlan, Suzuki and Logan. Maybe Wells as well.

Have you checked out the spreadsheet in the original post? I'd start there to get a feel for what those guys values are. Then see which teams in contention might need a player at those positions. From there we can look at the prospects available that fit your criteria.

So, I'd suggest you play around with the spreadsheet a bit, and see what you can come up with...and we can use that as a starting point.

Are any of these packages fair? I am wanting to rebuild the Yanks and am looking at these deals

Cano + Ichiro to Cards for Taveras + Miller + Martinez + Rosenthal

Tex to Seattle for Zunino + Paxton

Kuroda to Texas for Olt

Thanks, I took a look at the spread sheet, I didn't see Chamberlain so I looked at Wells/Logan, it says C for both, I then looked at the teams and I think the Angels could be a good fit, as they could take Wells back and put him in LF/DH and they need relievers. What do you think I could get out of them?

I'd replace Tavares with Joe Kelly, but that one's fine.

Texiera isn't worth anywhere near Zunino. A more fair deal for Tex would be to the Giants for Brown.

Kuroda deal is fine, I think, but this post is subject to editing. Edit: If Kuroda's contract spans for GREATER THAN one year, this is fair. In mine, it only goes for one, though. Kuroda isn't worth that much for a rental, he'd really only be worth a Perez or a Sardinas + Gallo package in that case, but 2+ years of Kuroda is fine. He's extremely underrated.

Do you think Romine(C POT 27(AGE) SS) Luis Jiminez(25(AGE), C POT, 3B) and (C POT, C, 75 OVR, Chris Snyder) for Boone Logan/Wells is somewhat realistic and fair? I could make Romine or Snyder a B pot player.
