Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I know Price to the Rangers has been heavily discussed but I can't seem to find an answer in the thread as too a deal that has Olt, Profar, Arfalo, and Perez going to the Rays. Would this be fair? or would the Rangers have to throw in something else?Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Consensus is that Profar + Olt + Alfaro + Grimm is about right.
I did this trade in my 'chise:
Price + McGee + Peralta for Profar + Gallo + Buckel + Alfaro + Grimm
Lucas Harrell to CLE for Tyler Naquin + Giovanny Urshela
J.D. Martinez + Jason Castro to Mets for Wilmer Flores + Brandon Nimmo + Kevin Plawecki
Jose Veras to MIL for Khris Davis
Jose Altuve to STL for Kolten Wong + Matt Adams
Chris Carter + Wesley Wright to SFG for Gary Brown + Andrew Susac
Carlos Pena (if doing well) to OAK for Jefry MarteChicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Could anyone see some-sort of realistic trade involving Bud Norris + possibly DeShields Jr (or a young player) for Parra of the Diamondbacks? The Dbacks could use a rotation starter since they have two SPs on the 60 day DL (nearing the trade deadline).
Bud has a sub 4.00 ERA and Parra is hitting .280 or so, while Deshields is about .260 in AA. I know the Astros are in re-building mode, but I've been the Astros the past few years and I just cannot hit with DeShields - plus I plan on locking Altuve up at 2B, and Parra would immediately fill CF where DeShields could possibly be used (Springer in AAA has been atrocious).
I assume 'story wise' I would be selling the fans some story about how we have lots of potential in the minors, but we wanted something to show for it now without giving up the farm for an all-around player, haha. Would then lock Parra up a few years. Too much? Too little? Not realistic? Just wondering because I would enjoy locking someone like him or Matt Adams up while my prospects get ready (would also enjoy any comments on who would be fair for him). Long read, so thanks in advance, haha.Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I'm giving stats a little thought and Kubel is absolutely killing it this season in my franchise (something crazy like 2nd in HRs and 3rd in RBIs), so they probably wouldn't trade him. Davidson would be great depth, but Dominguez is actually playing really good, and his glove is amazing. I really want Parra, but maybe I should scrap the trade involving Parra and focus on Matt Adams. I could possibly get over my dislike of DeShields if I knew he would be a decent fit in CF in a couple of years.
However, looking over STL roster and minors I'm not even sure who they could use? My closer in Veras and set-up man Wright have both been lights out all season, but I'm not sure one of them (plus other?) would be fair? Thanks for the reply.Comment

It looks like waittilnextyear still has a huge problem with Olt.Comment

Really necessary for a comment like that? I'm pretty sure that debate is over and I also think people would rather not restart that in here since it distracts from analyzing trade offers.
But if you must know, I actually have Olt in my franchise as the Astros and love having him. I just wouldn't trade the world to get him.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment
