I've got to agree with AC. Im not trading a mid b prospect for someone that was a below average first baseman last year and hasn't played in more than 140 games in over 4 seasons.

Again, morneau's durability rating is higher that it should be. In each of my franchises on MLB 11 and 12, he hasn't gotten hurt. That should show the difference between reality and virtual reality.

Since it's fairly blatant you're going for guys in the WBC team, take a look at Leroux.

Lind for Morneau is fine. Saves the Twins, like, 9M+.

I don't have Lind in my franchise any more. What about David Cooper and somebody else???

I'm talking about virtual ratings. Some things happen in real life that don't and will never happen in game (i.e. drug/alcohol issues, public anxiety, etc.) and we worry about that. Like say if I ask for Zack Grenkie, we won't put into consideration his anxiety issues because that doesn't matter. I have been pulling for MLB the show to do that, but don't think it'll happen until the PS4.

It really sucks because that will completely revamp trades for most likely all of us!

If your team needs a power hitter and you don't need a high average and have the budget you can get Granderson from the Yanks for like two B potentials or an A and two Cs. It payed off for me with SF he hit .320 with 35 hrs and 100+ RBIs.

That's why we have this and the Arbitration thread though...its for us guys who want these things in the game but cannot get them due to the obvious reasons (MLBPA doesn't want it, and I don't blame them.) The whole purpose of this thread is so that we can take these things into consideration when making our deals

EDIT: Also, comparing something that is tangible on the field like Morneau's durability...and anxiety issues/drug or alcohol abuse is very short sighted and ridiculous

So you were kind of playing devils advocate. I could see how that could be helpful for people reading the thread hearing different POVs.

Yea, because I understand. I used to be one of the most unrealistic people you could find! I once traded Miggy and Verlander for a couple Cs and Bs! That was way back in MLB 10 though. Now I take various thing into consideration when trading. Like the amount of money for contracts, player moral (let's not start another argument on that), and depth at that position. I'm still starting to learn to start putting things like the thing we were just arguing about into affect, but I should have it in no time.
