Marlins really wouldn't trade for a catcher and neither would the cubs if it involved giving up prospects.

I'd throw the Dodgers in there too

Let me start by saying I know nothing about the Jays system so idk what kind of plan you had in mind but I have a kinda out of the box idea. How would you feel about a McCann for JPA swap with the Jays sending a prospect as well?

Yankees suck, Rays have Molina, White Sox have FLowers, Marlins no, Pirates have Sanchez, Cubs wouldn't give prospects

You asking for Bethancourt instead of McCann? I suggested McCann because I doubt the Braves are able to resign him and this way we could actually get something for him. he could play some DH to extend his career in the AL.

As a Braves fan I'd really like to keep Bethancourt, excellent defensive catcher and with JPA on board we wouldn't have to rush him to the majors, and when he does make it we would have a nice offensive/defensive duo as our backstop.

But I was referring to you, the Jays sending over a prospect, McCann > JPA. We don't need JPA if you're not taking McCann off our hands.

Y'all seem to have money growing on trees the way you took on those Marlins contracts lol jk. But yeah I suppose if those contracts would hinder the jays resigning McCann it would be a rental, but y'all are in win now mode so he would be an upgrade at catcher.

Well I suppose it comes down to do you want to give up JP and a prospect for a rental of McCann. Of course there are other options out there but as a Braves fan this one was the first that came to mind lol.
