I think Rasmus for Miller would be better than Rasmus for Maurer, mainly because Maurer's stock rose from last year and Miller is blocked by Franklin, Ryan and Ackley

I'm looking at one of three deals; Rasmus for Franklin, Miller, or Maurer.

Why? He's their #5 or so prospect and they need a good bat. Their OF is horrid.

that is not entirely true. they do need a bat yes, but they need a CONSISTENT bat, and that is something colby cant provide. and i wouldnt say there OF is horrid. Morse, Guti(when healthy), Saunders. They all provide offense/defense, although Morse is like the worst defensive LF in baseball.

Guti's very, very rarely healthy. Morse should not be an outfielder. Saunders is no more certain than Rasmus. Rasmus would be a huge add for them. He's young enough, as well.

Ill take Saunders over Rasmus any given day. But then again, thats just me. And thats also why is stated the If Healthy part.

Also now that im thinking of it. They took Jason Bay on their 25 man. So yes, Rasmus is an upgrade

Morse has to play the outfield since we have a DH in Morales, on top of that Saunders had a break out year from what we are used to seeing, plus he carried team Canada in the WBC. Would it be a fair trade? No one knows really, Maurer may be a ROY candidate this year, just depends how he pitches, If Guti went down, then yeah, we could call up Erasmo or Bonderman anytime.

You'd be better going after Franklin, Miller is not gonna be traded, and i doubt Maruer either since Paxton aint looking that good.

Very true, but Erasmo is looking good, the only way i see a trade for Maurer is if Erasmo is looking good and Guti goes down, if Guti stays healthy this year, they'll bring him back next year, if not, he's gone at the deadline.

How's Smoak doing? IF he's not doing too good then maybe a high C? First baseman? Or some third base depth.
