Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
just got Kevin Youkilis from New York for Josh Donaldson. Reason being that Donaldson unlike in real life is a really bad fielder in and mid may already committed 10 Errors so i decided to move him and put a deal up for Youk and the Yanks said yes... im glad to have him as after just one game he is already paying dividends in the field and at the plate."Baseball is life, without Baseball life itself ceases to exist." - Ken SpragueComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Hey guys. I'm playing as the Braves and the trade deadline is approaching. I'm looking to shed some salaries because the Braves, as most know, don't spend a lot of money on one or two players. So, I was wanting to see what I could get for Medlen, McCann, and Uggla (not together, separate trades). I was thinking about trading with the Red Sox, Yankees, Rangers, Dodgers, and/or Angels, since they like to spend a lot of money and would resign them. I would like to get prospects and start rebuilding my farm system. Any input and advice is helpful. Thank you.
Edit: Proposed deal I've come up with that I would like to be reviewed.
Braves Get: SS Luis Sardinas, C Jorge Alfaro, OF Jairo Beras, 3B Joey Gallo
Rangers Get: SP Kris Medlen, C Brian McCann, 3B Edward SalcedoLast edited by CP3_4MVP; 06-15-2013, 11:34 AM.Comment

Are the Dodgers in contention? They could use both Uggla and McCann plus have the ability to take on salary. I could see you get Dee Gordon back if you want and put him at 2B since SS is stacked with Simmons and Pastornicky. Either something like Dee Gordon, Zach Lee and Javy Guerra for Uggla and McCann or go with Lee, Gould, Guerra and some other high C in return.
How about sending Medlen to the Angels for that 3B prospect the Braves are lacking in Kaleb Cowart? Fetch Cowart in return together with CJ Cron and a young arm like Nick Maronde.Former modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Hey guys still looking for deadline deals for other teams. The Astros are 54-47 and are looking to make the playoffs. They need RF and SS desperately. What would Carlos Beltran cost? He is only a rental but would provide significant upgrade for this season for them. The Cardinals are 48-52 and would like to give Tavaras more time in RF.
Beltran - .233/.281/.385 with 15 HR, 56 RBI, 52 R in 94 games.
Next SS, where the Red Sox (41-63) are in last in the AL East by a mile and want some prospects. The could move Drew to the Astros who would be an upgrade to Cedeno, since they got Andrus from Texas earlier for Ellsbury. The White Sox (33-68) are last in the league and want prospects as well and have Alexi Ramirez available for trade. Lastly, Arizona is 50-53 and has Bloomquist or Pennington available, since Didi is called up.
Ramirez - .250/.301/.323 with 2 HR, 12 RBI, 17 R in 64 games (he was hurt)
Drew - .251/.321/.378 with 7 HR, 30 RBI, 27 R in 79 games
Pennington - .183/.246/.278 with 2 HR, 10 RBI, 12 R in 31 games
Bloomquist - .262/.315/.385 with 5 HR, 40 RBI, 38 R in 99 games
So what would Houston have to give for Beltran and 1 of those SS ? Thanks guysComment

Do the Rangers need McCann with Pierzynski and Soto there? I mean Berkman is DH'ing so unless there's an injury, I can't see it happening.

How about these:
Braves get: SS Dee Gordon, RHP Zach Lee, RHP Ross Stripling
Dodgers get: C Brian McCann, 2B Dan Uggla
Braves get: 3B Kaleb Cowart, LHP Nick Maronde, 1B CJ Cron, RHP Austin Wood
Angels get: SP Kris Medlen, SS Tyler Pastornicky
Do they seem fair and realistic?Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I said the Rangers because I thought with AJ and Lance getting older they could use the youth in McCann. I also thought this was the final year of their (AJ and Lance) contract. But I do like the idea of sending McCann and Uggla to the Dodgers and then Medlen to the Angels.

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
eh maybe fair but thoroughly insane in my books-wright is good enough on his own to carry that team in this years version. Why not try and move the abundance of overrated middle infielders the team starts with instead?Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
What would I be able to get for a Henry Blano who is hitting around .400 with 4 (or five) home runs? Looking to trade him since he's playing so good right now.Comment

The only way Henry Blanco can hit .400 is going 4/10 or something. So, y'know, nothing."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment
