Berry was DFA in real life, but in his game hes a B....sometimes we get to carried away with the real game If it is before season and hes a B and someone takes a B to acquire I dont see why he would have to view it as Berry was DFA cause he wasn't in his game lol

Last attempt at unloading headley before I just go for prospects

Headley to the white Sox for adam dunn and what else
I don't want to do a straight up trade cuz I feel like I'm getting ripped off.

What can I get for maybin. (Prospect wise) What is a good trade and a good fit for him?

A couple of pages back we discussed adding Red Sox prospect Bryce Brentz to the spreadsheet. Did we decide on a value on him? One low B? Two high C's?

I like the one Low B possibility. He still has serious potential, but he's blocked by JBJ, Ellsy, and Victorino.

If Headley is traded, I think it's ultimately to a contender, for prospects. So just go that route.

The White Sox don't have the pieces to pull off the deal, and trust me, you don't want Dunn.
            • Headley to the Angels for Kaleb Cowart + Bourjos/Cron + Garrett Richards + Alex Yarbrough

The Angels don't have a strong system as it is, and this depletes it even more. They probably wouldn't do it unless it was a "win now" type of thing at the deadline.
            • Headley to the Braves for J.R. Graham + Lucas Sims + Alex Wood/Sean Gilmartin + Joey Terdoslavich/Aaron Northcraft

Braves are giving up a lot of pitching, but it's a solid deal according to the spreadsheet.
            • Headley to the Reds for Daniel Corcino + Tony Cingrani + Jesse Winker + Kyle Waldrop

No doubt Headley would be an upgrade over Frazier. Another "win now" deadline move.
            • Headley to the Cardinals for David Freese + Tyrell Jenkins + Trevor Rosenthal + Jorge Rondon

Cards have the depth to pull off this deal. You could substitute Freese for another prospect, but in getting Headley, there's no need for him in STL.
            • Headley to the Dodgers for Corey Seager + Zach Bird + Chris Reed + Matt Magill

Changed the value from three B's and a C to four B's, since it's inner-division trading and all.
            • Headley to the Yankees for Slade Heathcott + Manny Banuelos + Jose Campos + Dante Bichette Jr

            • Headley to the Blue Jays for Sean Nolin + John Stilson + Anthony Alford + Deck McGuire

I'd ask AC, as I have no clue about any of these guys. Lol, he's very familiar with the Jays system. I'd move Brett Lawrie to another position, probably 2B if you were to do this.

Alright, that's all I could think of for Headley. I'm just throwing names out there that fit the spreadsheet value. It all depends on how he's preforming and who is buying at the deadline.

Because he paid 3 B's for a guy who is listed as being worth 2 high C's. But if it was a spring training trade I don't think it is that bad. I originally thought he traded all 3 of those players for a mid season rental that was going to cost him $20m+ next season (and probably be like a 73 OVR due to age).

But it turns out he gets him for a whole season and he is only signed through this year.

Brentz have been added and he's a low B in the list now

Later in the season I'd like to put together a deal with Arizona for Trevor Cahill and Aaron Hill. I'm KC, any ideas? Lets assume we're both contending

If you guys come across any more players you want added to the spreadsheet, please post name-team-position-bats-throws and proposed value on him here in the thread and I'll make sure he's added

I could see Cahill go but not Hill if the D'backs are contending. Pitching is plentiful with the Snakes system but not 2B. Getz/Giavotella in exchange wouldn't help out in AZ. I'd try and swing a 3 way deal with a team like the Phillies (Utley), Braves (Uggla) or Mets (Murphy) to have that 2B come to AZ in the same deal. You'd still be getting Hill and Cahill while AZ gets a better 2B back than Getz/Giavotella in Utley/Uggla/Murphy. Or are you thinking of sending Moustakas to AZ in the deal and have them play Prado at 2B cuz that could work out really nice as well

Eh, this mainly depends on Davis' performance because even if Santana is performing, he's a big injury risk.

Yeah but Berry's 28, you play 2k so I understand that you probably won't be familiar with it, but Berry probably won't progress to the point where he's statistically relevant.

Beauty post bro! This is probably what's fair and Headley to the Jays is looking somewhat realistic, but I think we'd have to give Sanchez in a deal (realistically, which blows because he may be more valuable than Headley).

Once again, Adock and Berry are old enough that they won't develop to be statistically relevant, this deal is basically Davis for a year of Santana which is fine.

I agree. I thought it was a mid-season deal and that Johan was under contract for longer.
