Wow, shocker, I disagree with Jim Bowden lol. Stripling and Castellanos aren't anything special, and Withrow has marginal value at best, it's Lee who's the only legit top 3 prospect in that deal. And Lee for those 3 is most certainly not a dream deal for MIL.

I was thinking of making a trade with the Indians for Brantley. I am using the Astros and I am thinking of trading Fernando Martinez and either Nolan Fontana or Delino Deshields Jr. Would that be realstic and fair?Comment

I've heard that the Indians are looking for pitching in return lately. How about Peacock or Weiland for Brantley? F-Mart is nothing special so consider him a throw in...Deshields comes into a crowd MI situation in the Tribe system so maybe Fontana is the better fit (he's a 3B right?)Former modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

I agree, nothing fancy at all with what the Dodgers are giving up (besides from Lee). Guess Bowden's point of view is building overall value and depth in the minors through this deal. Would much rather see Seager and Lee plus a little something extra come back to the Brew Crew. Maybe even Gordon move Gordon to 2B and include him in the deal if the Brewers can dump Weeks as wellFormer modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

Throwing this out there, not that I don't love McCann:
The latest column from ESPN's Jayson Stark is jam-packed with trade-related information.  Highlights: One National League executive predicted that the …

I don't know about that site, but I don't consider catchers position players.
P, C are in their own little category. They list him, so let's see. It will take a pretty large haul (or taking Weeks contract off the books) to move him, if he goes anywhere.badComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I wouldn't be surprised if the Brewers package Lucroy + KRod for a pretty decent haul of prospects. I really can't think of any teams besides maybe the Dodgers, Rays + Jays (if they're thinking like you about JP).
Imagine a super deal w/ the Brewers + Dodgers.
Gallardo, Ramirez, Lucroy, KRod for Lee, Seager, Pedersen, Magill or something like that. Also like Totte said any deal with the Dodgers+Brewers could involve Weeks and Gordon.........The Brewers could leave Gordon @ SS if he improves his defense since they might try and put Segura at 2B| Brewers | Packers | Angels | Bucks | Badgers |Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Former GM Jim Bowden put down this as a "dream deal" for the Brew Crew in his ESPN Insider blog the other day: Yovani Gallardo, Francisco Rodriguez and Aramis Ramirez to the Los Angeles Dodgers for pitchers Zach Lee, Chris Withrow, Ross Stripling and outfielder Alex Castellanos.
If you're a crappy team like the Brewers, might as well trade a bunch of misfits for some prospect depth. And the Dodgers love misfits.Comment

I meant about that site considering catchers position players. I realize they used Luc's name, but I'm still quite doubtful that they move him unless they get a great deal and get to shed a lot of contract bloat.badComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Hey guys thanks for taking the time to look over my trades
here's the scenario, I decided to start a Miami marlins franchise but I didn't want to start from game one, So what I did was simmed out the exact w/l results for every game so far and went as far as to mirror the lineups and starting pitchers for every game, to get to where they currently are which is todays game vs the twins, yeah I have ocd when it comes to this game
I was looking to deal some of the vets, the two trades I have proposed so far are.
Miami
P ricky nolasco 85ovr b pot 30 yo
1B joe Mahoney 63ovr b pot 26yo
for
San Fran
P kyle crick 68ovr a pot 20yo
P Edwin escobar 63ovr b pot 21yo
1B angel villalona 61ovr b pot 22yo
I read somewhere that nolasco pitches great at at&t park and would like to pitch there, looking at it I think it may be lopsided or something so I can rework the deal or something based on what u guys think
other deal was
Miami sends
C Miguel olivo 75ovr b pot 35yo
to
Dodgers for
P Zach lee 71ovr b pot 22yo
SS jesmuel valentine 56ovr c pot 18yo
olivo walked off the team due to being upset about PT since jeff mathis came off DL, and Miami is looking to deal him and put him on the restricted list
I'm trying to find takers for polanco, pierrre and qualls, brewers are listed as being interested at the trade block screen but I cant find a deal they will accept
thanks guys..
love the game and OS!
ps I'm using OS minors hybrid v2 rosterComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
The A's could use a upgrade at third base with Donaldson hurt for a torn Achilles tendon. That being said and they have plenty of depthin the outfield. What is a fair and semi realistic trade for cespedes or reddick. And yes a I know cespedes is almost untouchable but would give up a big package for him.Comment
