Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I am running into the same problem in my dodger franchise. I have all four outfielders hitting good and i need to move ethier or crawford. I wouldnt mind moving crawford but i dont have anyone else to fill in for his speed. Im looking for a deal for one of them where i can get a SP,2B,3B, and would consider an OF back as pederson doesnt seem ready. I dont like cruz and him and uribe are just doing average so i would like to figure out a way to upgrade there until seager is ready.Comment

Ethier to Philly for Kendrick and Galvis. You get a solid no 4-5 for the rotation and Galvis offers versatility and speed from the middle infield spots.
Ethier to the Pirates for James MacDonald and Jose Tabata. You get a speedy 4th OF in need of a fresh start and a big K potential starter for the back end of your rotation while shedding Ethier's contractLast edited by Totte; 06-30-2013, 03:03 PM.Former modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

Ethier to the Mets for Murphy + Gee?"Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I agree with the earlier statement that Either's ratings suggest that he's best in a platoon situation, so I really want to unload him. Puig is a more complete player.
The problem with moving Eithier in my franchise is twofold. First, he makes a lot of money, which means you just can't move him to certain teams, or you have to take on a higher salary player that you may not want.
The second problem for me is that he's killing it, with a .299 average, 20 HR, and 56 RBI at the All Star Break.
I'm having a hard time finding a deal where I can move him for a bonafide starter at 3B who is a significant upgrade over Luis Cruz.
I have better luck with 2B. I can get Darwin Barney from the Cubs for Eithier and another player.
I can also move him for 2 pitching prospects on a few teams but am unsure how much bullpen I will need going forward given the strength of my rotation.
It's a tough call because I really want offense, but I also want some youth in the pen. Arrgghh!Comment

I have seen that I can move him to Boston for 2 relievers since they have some money to spend. I might be able to package him with a guy like Harang for a higher quality starter, I don't know.
So many choices, lol. Totally different from football, which is what I'm used to. Guys get traded left and right and I'm sitting here agonizing.Comment

Anyone *specifically* interest you on the Yanks? Looking for names haha. The Pirates could work too, maybe the Mariners, etc."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment
