Could be worse, but I'd turn it down. Aumont is a bit too much for Buehrle at this point. I do like the Phillies trying to add MORE old starters though, lolChicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Posted about Eric Young Jr. in my Mets Franchise earlier this week. It was determined that I should give up Colin Mchugh for him but the Rockies won't expect that so I was going to propose this:
Mets get:
Eric Young Jr. ( 163. 1RBi 49AB)
Rockies get:
Allan Dykstra ( 25yr 1B 10HR 43 RBI 292.) in AA ( Low B)
Greg Burke ( 3-1 31.0 IP 1.45 ERA) in AAA
Rockies needs are 1B and RP
Thoughts?Comment

Just give them McHugh and call it good haha. It's as realistic as it gets.Denver Broncos

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I don't think the Rockies would want a 25 year old, low B, in AA or a 30 year old reliever in AAA. The more pitching the better. I think the plan at this point would be to move Cuddyer to 1B or Pacheco when Helton retires.. so unless you have a more intriguing 1B, give them pitching.

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I've got an issue as the LAD with my outfield situation.
Crawford went down early with an injury for like 40 games, which forced me to call up Puig. Puig came up while Crawford was on his last 10 games of rehab and played extremely well.
Kemp is hitting .265 with 18 HR after 90 games.
Eithier is hitting about .285 with 16 HR.
So I feel like I need to move one of them, as keeping a player of any of their calibers on the bench seems like a waste.
What kind of talent do y'all think is reasonable in trade talks? I could use help at 2B, C, RP or perhaps 3B, though Luis Cruz is playing extremely well.Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Seattle still seems like a perfect fit for Ethier, you could get a 2B like Ackley.
You could also send him to Pittsburgh for Victor Black and Tony Sanchez.
To the Phillies for Phillipe Aumont and Freddy Galvis.
Maybe to the Yankees for Francisco Cervelli and Joba Chamberlain.
Or the Royals for Giavotella/Getz and Herrera."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Long-term though, I think I value Crawford's speed more than Eithier's power. I really like all those options you suggested. I'm gonna look at those when I fire up the game.
Thanks for such an excellent response!Comment

I would have never thought of these options. Glad this community knows so much about real baseball; I'm really just starting out as a fan.Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
So this trade is pending in my franchise and I was wondering what you guys though about it.
Stl receives: Xander Bogaerts, Allen Webster & Jarrod Saltalamaccia
Bos receives: Yadier Molina
Boston is 45-41 2.5 GB the Rays in the east and leading the wild card race.
Stl is 42-44 8 GB the cubs (yes the cubs, surprised myself, apparently they went on a 13 game win streak recently!) and 4.5 back of the wild card.
So my thoughts are to not let it go thru cause the Molina is the face of the Cards and they're not quite out of the race yet so it wouldn't make sense to sell him yet right? But on the other hand that is a heck of a return and sets up STL for many, many years to come.
What do you guys think?Last edited by CKW11; 06-30-2013, 01:44 PM.Comment
