Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
CPU just offered this to me (I'm Miami and in May....Rays are 9.5 out of the East and 8 out of the WC)
Hellickson + Oviedo for Nicolino, Marisnick + Heaney
Marisnick - .307 Avg. 2 HRs 23 RBI 23.7 RC
Nicolino - 2-4 4.74 ERA 7.4 K/9 3.6 DIPS
Hellickson - 1-7 4.53 ERA 6.2 K/9 5.2 DIPS
I'm unsure about this since spreadsheet says Marisnick is unrealistic but is there something I could add on the Rays side to make this more realistic? I think its an overpay as the deal stands since Hellickson isn't playing well. Should I swap Marisnick with someone else? Or should I just scrap the deal?

I just looked it up. Actually, no. His splits are really eerily similar. Check it out, unusual for a LHB to basically have no split.

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I'm loving it, if Arrieta can't figure it out, it's not like we gave up a lot to get him. If he does, then the rest of the NL Central better watch out. He's loaded with potential. I'd love to see him put it all together.
Anyways, back on topic. What would it take to get Rex Brothers in the Windy City? About to be in the 2013 offseason, going into 2014.
Brothers stats in 2013: 4-3 98 K, 3.38 ERA
Don't have any more than that, it won't let me see anything but postseason stats for everyone. Obviously the Rockies didn't make the postseason, so.. lol. Are two high C's still enough? If so, I was thinking
Ronald Torreyes (2B, 20 years old, 67 OVR) + SP Nick Struck (SP, 23, 70 OVR)
Both high C's in my franchise.
Or I could go Kelvin Herrera for one of those two or Starling Peralta.
Any other good bullpen arms? Not looking for an immediate closer, just someone to replace guys like Michael Bowden, Shawn Camp and the rest of the scrubs I've used.Comment

Oh yeah, Arrieta's a Cubbie, my second favorite team ^_^ **** yeah. It's nice liking a well run organization (and god knows I don't mean the Jays).

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Im playing with the astros at the ASB and i put pena on the block . For some odd reason the only to teams interested are the Dbacks and Dodgers both teams are in contention. I dont see a fit and its not realistic... Any ideas ?
Also i have Norris , Blackley , Bedard and Humber on the block and the A's are interested in all of them. Im obviously not looking to trade all 4 to the same team. The A's are in contention and im looking for input on which SP makes sense to move so i can come up with trade ideas. Im against trading to a team in the same division but at the moment im 13 games behind so at this point it doesnt matter.Comment

I actually wouldnt have a problem throwing one of those pitchers in since i have way to much pitching that are stuck in the minors.Comment

For Norris, the Dodgers or Tigers might work. From the Dodgers, maybe Joc Pederson + Zachary Bird. From the Tigers, you can probably get Avisail Garcia.
Pena probably won't get you anything either unless he's crushing it. If he is doing well, you may be able to package him with Bud Norris to the A's and get Grant Green and someone like Michael Ynoa back.
Some teams won't trade in-division but guys like Luhnow and Beane can see past that, they just did a deal that involved Jed Lowrie, Chris Carter, and Brad Peacock.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment
