What do you think the Sox would trade for him? Kalish like Totte said?Comment

No, I'd opt for Cron then instead as he could be trade bait for the Cubs (or even go back to catching as he spoke about going back behind the plate as a pro at the Futures Game - thought he could handle it). The Cubs could probably afford to give him a look at catcher

Not at my game right now but maybe Tyler Austin (depending on his potential) or a middle infield prospect, maybe Gumbs? What kind of prospects are you looking to get for Holliday?Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
For Holliday I'd ideally like to strengthen my bullpen or add some middle infield depth. Or, and I doubt he will get me even half as much value, I may try to trade Jon Jay instead and keep Holliday in left, Taveras in center, and Craig in right.Comment

I'd look at Totte's proposed trade to SFComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
After one season with the Cardinals, I would like to move Matt Carpenter over to 3B to have Kolten Wong at 2B, and I would like to promote Oscar Taveras to play one of the corner outfield spots. That basically leaves Matt Holliday and David Freese expendable. What is the greatest return I could get for these players in a package deal, or traded separately?
Perhaps two mid- to low-Bs and a C at most. I've contemplated pursuing a B POT CF, a B POT SP and a C POT RP. Excepting high B players, is that a reasonably fair talent distribution?
There's nobody on the team I could use in the Cards' lineup, though the bullpen might offer some help, if the arms are affordable and in the mid-80s. I'd have to check.Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
In my M's franchise, I am currently in first place in the A.L. West at 34-26 and Cincinnati (1st place in N.L. Central) made me this offer:
Reds want:
SS Brendan Ryan (74 OVR, C Pot, 30 YO) hitting just .125 in 36 games (96 AB) with 1 HR and 7 RBI mainly coming off of the bench.
RP Kameron Loe (sent to AAA due to lack of work) (78 IVR, C Pot, 31 YO) has an ERA of 0.96 in 6 appearances in AAA. Had an ERA of 3.38 in Seattle before demotion.
Reds offering:
CF Yorman Rodriguez (67 OVR, B Pot, 20 YO) he is hitting .300 in AAA with 9 HRs and 51 RBIs and 6 SBs in 60 games.
The M's could use some youth in the OF and he seems like a decent fit. I have called up Nick Franklin who I moved to SS and he is tearing it up offensively so Ryan is expendable.
The trade seems pretty fair to me, but I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts?Comment

Looks like my franchise will look a lot different than in real life. Rangers just traded for garza in exchange for olt, Grimm, and Edwards.Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Maybe ill try and revise that garza to LAA trade and send someone like Leonys Martin with Grimm and Edwards for garza? It's a little complicated as I already sent lee to Texas for olt and others, so the rangers might not even need garza in my chiseComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I'm thinking of trading K-Rod during the offseason. His stats were 3-4 1 Save 41 K's 2.75 ERA.....2.79 DIPS.....281 BABIP
I'm thinking of two teams as suitors for him. BOS and SD
San Diego somehow were tops in the west the whole year but got swept in the playoffs in the 1st round.
Boston just missed the playoffs and their BP was pretty horrible besides Hanrahan who was amazing.
So..............
To BOS for Henry Owens or Pat Light + Brock Huntzinger
or
To SD for Jeremy McBryde (25 y/o High C RP) + Eddie Bonine (23 y/o Low C SP)Last edited by Shock1011; 07-22-2013, 05:42 PM.| Brewers | Packers | Angels | Bucks | Badgers |Comment
