Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Sanchez + Osuna + Davis + Stroman + Nolin/Barreto (whichever is playing/progressing better).
Because Braun is younger, cheaper, and at their respective points in their careers, most likely more valuable as a whole. And lmao @ fan favorite. It's love-hate, because our fans are dumb. But yeah, Bautista could very easily be dealt. A popular idea is Bautista for Profar."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Gose has been struggling in the minors this season and Rasmus has been slowly tightening his grip over CF.
Fair yet unrealistic in that Bautista probably wouldn't go anywhere and MIL would unload him for prospects. Make no mistake, I've been looking at this too.

[QUOTE=ACMilan99;2045294292]Do you care about realism and making fair trades for both sides?
Yes - def. care about realism and making it fair. The Cardinals are making a push for the playoffs - and given that Rollins is having a good season, he's definitely a big upgrade from what Furcal is doing for them in my franchise. Plus - I find it interesting the CPU offered this trade - seems like the CPU has a tendency to offer trades that are more in their favor than mine, but maybe that's just my experience - haven't gotten a lot of deals offered to me in the past.Currently Playing: FIFA 22 Career Mode - Manchester United ManagerComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
what would a fair offer be for Kershaw or Sale, im not any specific team, just wondering what you guys think would be given up to get either of these guys, assuming they are both available.
ThanksComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
awesome, thanks for putting that together. the 1 post that i dont read the opening page for...
EDIT: Am i correct in assuming that the "unrealistic notes" mean that this isnt gunna happen but the values are still there for those who want to make an unrealistic trade? Also, when the values are given are they meant to be any type of player that meets that mold? or is it a specific player? like if it says mid A does that mean a mid A prospect or could I give a mid A current player?Last edited by nascarfreak24ny; 07-28-2013, 12:21 PM.Comment

Ok, glad I saw that spreadsheet now - very cool and helpful. Guess the Shelby/Furcal for Rollins trade is a bit one-sided lol. Oh well.Currently Playing: FIFA 22 Career Mode - Manchester United ManagerComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I'm toying with the idea of picking up Mitchell Boggs from St. Louis in my Rockies 'chise, just like they did IRL.
Here's my question:
Since Boggs was traded for an international-signing-bonus slot, do y'all think he is still worth a High C?
As of June 10, he is 0-2, with a 5.06 ERA, .310 AVG against, 1.64 WHIP, 3.891 DIPS, .360 BIPA, and 7.17 K/9.
He also has 14 saves in 21.1 IP.
I'm thinking of going with the "change of scenery" storyline in my franchise, but I don't feel like he's still worth a High C, given his numbers in game, and the actual turn of events in real life.
Just thought I'd get some opinions before I made a move.MLB 13 The Show Dynasty -- Mile High Magic Returns: A Colorado Rockies Dynasty Is BornComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
So I'm the Mets, 53-51 a few days before the trade deadline. My bench players are doing terrible so I'm looking for a decent backup, preferably one that can play 1B, 3B, and OF or at least two of those positions. I also want him to be a good fielder that can spell guys like Byrd, Davis, and my newly acquired Morse in late innings. I'd be willing to deal a C prospect at most. Any possibilities? I couldn't really think of anybody.
The standings in my game are pretty similar to the ones in real life so it's pretty much the same teams that are out of it, to give you some idea of which teams are sellers. The only real difference is the Twins and Brewers are somehow in contention while the Cardinals are way out of it.Last edited by jbrsanders13; 07-28-2013, 01:40 PM.Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Ok, having realized how one-sided a previous offer was from the Cardinals for Rollins - this one makes me laugh.
STL WOULD TRADE:
SP Shelby Miller (78 OVR, A Pot)
SP Carlos Martinez (78 OVR, A Pot)
SS Rafael Furcal
All for Jimmy Rollins.
Good thing I care about fairness - I could grab potentially 2 high level young pitchers that could be a big part of the rotation for years - for a player in the twilight of his career. I'm really surprised at how lopsided in MY favor the CPU is willing to deal....
Now - after looking at the value spreadsheet - please keep in mind i'm just taking a whack at this and am absolutely trying to be fair and realistic. How does this trade sound:
PHI TRADES:
RP Phillipe Aumont (72 OVR, B Pot, 3-1 5.29 ERA 24 K)
LF John Mayberry Jr (79 OVR, C Pot, .232 4 HR, 11 RBI)
STL TRADES:
SP Carlos Martinez (78 OVR, A Pot)
Looking at the value spreadsheet, to get Martinez in a fair trade would require a mid-level B and a high C. It appears to me that Aumont and Mayberry Jr fit that, though their stats aren't great (some of that being due to me). Mayberry has really good ratings against lefties - 78 contact 80 power - so it's not like he's a nobody. Again, I'm just trying to go by the spreadsheet, so maybe I'm misinterpreting - and I am trying to be fair and realistic.Currently Playing: FIFA 22 Career Mode - Manchester United ManagerComment

Hmm, that's a tough one. Skip Shumaker... Not a bench guy but Todd Frazier.. I'm gonna go look on fangraphs, if I think of any more I'll post them.

Trevor Plouffe, Brandon Inge, Skip Shumaker, Cody Ransom, Eric Chavez, Jayson Nix, Jeff Keppinger, Matt Tuiasosopo, Sean Rodriguez, Jeff Baker, Juan Francisco can all play 1B/3B/OF. I would go for Rodriguez or Plouffe, personally.

Because you can't simulate giving them International money, I would say dealing your least expensive player (a 30K C/D prospect) would be fair because you are helping them by taking on Boggs salary..Comment
