Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
BTW Alex Amarista from Padres is listed at High C in spreadsheet. Would Mickey Storey for him be good enough or to much?Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I have been debating on a Chris Sale trade in my Padres franchise for a while now after kicking my CWS one to the curb. I miss pitching with the kid.
Is basing Sale's value off G. Stanton's fair value?
It seems dealing Fried and Hedges are a must in order to get the White Sox to even pick up the phone (as much as that thought pains me). That still leaves 3 B's and a C.
I am thinking one of the following:
SP - Zach Eflin (18, B)
SP - Walker Weickel (19, B)
-
One of the following:
SP - Joe Ross (20, B)
SP - Matt Wisler (20, B)
-
Any combo of the 2:
RF - Rymer Liriano (21, B) Hurt IRL, would use as PTBNL
SP - Keyvius Sampson (22, B)
SP - Robbie Erlin (22, B)
2B - Jonathan Galvez (22, B)
SS - Jace Peterson (22, B)
CF - Reymond Fuentes (22, B)
SP - Matt Andriese (23, C)
SP - Jose De Paula (23, C)
SP - Burch Smith (23, C)
Looking for some help to see if the above trade is fair or if I need to add more. I feel I may have the depth to withstand such a huge hit, but may end up passing if I feel it is actually too much once I see it completed.
Thanks in advance, guys.Comment

Can you check for Fried though? Now that I think about it I may not be a total moron. IIRC he's a high B."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Edit - checking on Fried.
Edit 2 - Fried is an A. I made one start with him in AA (keeping him in A), and goodness he has some good stuff.Last edited by Coper3000; 08-12-2013, 10:03 PM.Comment

Fried is an A in the OSFM rosters. Don't know what he has. That's just the type of deal I was thinking of.Red Sox: 2018 World Series Champions!!!

Haha, no problem. Hedges and Fried are a must in this deal. Now I have to mull that list over and decide if it's worth it. Thanks for the precise list. It's sort of like hearing who the White Sox want as opposed to me just picking who I want to give.
Edit - checking on Fried.

Well, the list you gave me was a solid list.
The interchangables in that list could be Weickel/Eflin, Ross/Sampson, and Smith/Peterson.

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Given that Sale is unrealistic, and you only want fairness...I mean I really really like Sale, but it wouldn't take 7 prospects. I'd whittle that list down to 4-5, while keeping Hedges/Fried in there and you'd have a deal. The Sox would absolutely love Hedges, and Fried could be another Sale-light.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Hedges, Fried, Liriano, and the higher potential of Galez and Peterson would do it. It might not be that unrealistic. Throw in Rico Noel if it makes you feel better about it. It is the Latos deal in reverse but I am not sure how close was to arbitration when that went down.
I was a CWS fan for a long time but couldn't take Kenny and his last few offseason plans. Oh, and the drafts, dear lord the drafts! I still love the unis, some of the players, and even Hawk. I am also doing SD for more of a challenge and I lived there for a few years so they have the home team feel to me.Last edited by rjackson; 08-13-2013, 12:31 AM.Comment

Gyorko, Cabrera, Headley, Sale, Luebke as a core isn't bad, now that I think about it."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment
