I'm trying to see. I'm playing in RTTS so I can't see the recent acquisitions, and I just got traded to the Rangers for Murphy, so I never got an update.

I'd say a 1-1 trade for those two works. Their value on the spreadsheet is the same, both are positions of need or upgrade for the Sox and Rangers, puts Profar into the starting lineup, and allows Bogarts to move to either third or the OF.Comment

To acquire a leadoff hitter and established SS for the coming years. Hefty price to pay but given how Andrus is signed to an extension and under control for several years, I think they might do it. Rather keep Cole than TaillonFormer modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

I agree though, it's a need for both teams and is pretty fair from a player skill level standpoint. Just don't know about the years of control, unless TEX wants to pony up and sign Ellsbury long term with Andrus off the books.Comment

the extension wasn't done in the game so I am going to go ahead with itComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Didn't Andrus just sign a like an 8 year contract extension? Is one year of Ellsbury worth 8 years of Andrus? I'm not at my PS3 right now, so I don't know if his in game contract is anything like that.

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Okay looking to pickup up a RH hitting OF that can play at the MLB level.
In my past Franchise I traded for J. Bourgeios of the Ray's but he is currently on the DL for 6 months and isn't a option this time around.
I am thinking Rajai Davis-Toronto (75 C) but currently his speed doesn't seem to get used by the Bluejays in the game (batting .203 with 6 SB's in 64 MLB AB's).
I was thinking maybe Coco Crisp (.242 28 SB's) (87 B), but typically don't see much inter division trading especially with all Oakland still in the hunt with my M's for the AL West Title.
C Gentry (78 C) was another thought but same reasoning as Crisp.
and the last person I am across was Eric Young JR (80 B). (.281 with 9 SB's in 121 AB's) Colorado currently has him playing 2B?
Do any of you have any other thoughts.
Also if I go Davis or Young what are good trade options.
For Davis I was thinking of either a young SS I have in Single A (Jose Munoz 64 C rated but only 19) or OF Trey Martin (65 C rated batting .357 in 8 AB's in AA) or both.
For Young, not sure maybe a SP like 19 yr Edwin Diaz (62 B) and Munoz or Martin, or SP A. Fernandez (73 C).
Or do you think the Rockies would want a more MLB ready SP like E. Ramirez or maybe J. Paxton (77 B). To much??Last edited by Deuce2223; 06-02-2013, 04:13 PM.Comment

Need a trade tip fellas.
EDIT:I said June 12, it's actually May 12 in my Rockies 'chise, and I get the following trade request from the Braves:
Rockies get: C Evan Gattis
Braves get: RP Wilton Lopez
Gattis: 67 AB, .269/.338/.463, 3 HR, 10 RBI
Lopez: 15.0 IP, 1-0, 1.20 ERA, 6 HLD, 12 K, 2 BB, 1.00 WHIP.
Beachy is out until mid-late June with a back injury, Venters out for the year with a torn rotator cuff, and Christian Martinez out for 2+ months with a torn labrum.
Thoughts?

I could see how they need pitching, but with the Rockies depth at the catcher position, now sure how much Gattis helps you, unless you are thinking RF or maybe 1B.
To me it's fair because they need a arm thus should be willing to possibly overpay and it's not like Gattis is tearing it up.Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I just traded Montero in my Franchise to the Tigers for Holaday (B pot) catcher and Tyler Collins a 22 yr old AAA OF (with B potential).
I think 2 B prospects for Montero is pretty fair, because he still does have value to teams with even worse catching options then the M's or as a DH.
As far as what RP you are looking for, I personally don't see the M's giving up Pryor or Capps, who seem to be the 2 RP that everyone wants and if those were your hopefull targets they are going to command a lot, both have future closer written on them.
Also something to keep in mind if you are going for realism, is it's not very often that teams trade within the division. So that's something else to consider. It does happen obviously because the M' dealt C. Lee to the Rangers but they also were out of it and got what they thought were some pretty nice pieces in Beavan and Smoak out of the deal.Comment
