Here are the potential trades I've been looking at. Just looking for feedback on which ones look the most fair/realistic.

        Cliff Lee
        : 8-3 2.26 ERA 99.2 IP 82 K's 0.88 WHIP

        To Texas for:

        Mike Olt: (AAA) .321 9 HR 40 RBI .411 OBP .509 SLG%
        Jorge Alfaro: Class A
        Martin Perez: (AAA) 4-6 5.06 ERA 78.1 IP 57 K's 1.67 WHIP

Also looking at Lee to Boston for
        Jackie Bradley Jr.: (MLB) .295 1 HR 12 RBI 122 ABs .356 OBP .393 SLG%
        Jose Iglesias: (MLB) .217 0 HR 4 RBI 115 ABs .237 OBP .287 SLG%
        Anthony Ranaudo: (AA) 2-4 3.80 ERA 83 IP 72 K's 1.43 WHIP

I love Utley, but I here's a proposed deal to LA:
        Utley: .244 8 HR 27 RBI .320 OBP .464 Slg%

        to LA for:
        Paco Rodriguez: (MLB) 1-1 1.82 ERA 29.2 IP 28 K's 1.25 WHIP

        Looking to send Papelbon: 0-0 .78 ERA 23 saves 24.2 IP 27 K's .52 whip

        to DET for:
        Bruce Rondon: (AAA) : 1-2 2.12 ERA 15 Saves 18IP 22 K's 14 BB's 1.45 WHIP
Logan Ehlers: (Class A) High C SP

        Trade with NYY:

        Michael Young: .292 2 HR 23 RBI 240 ABs .313 OBP .354 SLG %
        POSSIBLY Carlos Ruiz: .299 ERA 3 HR 16 RBI .313 OBP .403 SLG%

        for

        Manny Banuelos: 2-6 4.14 ERA 71.2 IP 48 K's 42 BB's 1.73 WHIP

        Or:

        Michael Young
        Sebastian Valle: (C POT 72 OVR) Catcher, AAA, .268 4 HR 27 RBI .309 OBP .364 SLG%

        to LAA for:
        Hank Conger: (MLB) 15 ABs .400 0 HR 2 EBI .437 OBP .467 SLG%

Normally I wouldn't do a fire sale like this, but imo it's very needed it Philadelphia. Sorry for the really long post!

I'd do the Lee to the Red Sox trade. They both seem fair but imo your getting a better return from the red sox.

I don't think the Dodgers would give up a very productive MLB reliever for a struggling 2B. They'd probably look to deal a low B or a high C prospect instead.

For Papelbon I think you could get more. Rondon has 14 bb in 18 ip which would probably concern the Phillies. The C SP isn't going to amount to anything. With Papelbon's numbers, you could definitely get Garcia and Rondon.

The Yankees trade might be realistic if they're panicking from getting poor production from their 3B and C spots but I like the Angels trade a little bit more. Conger hasn't seemed to find a home in Anaheim so I think they would be willing to give him up to shore up their 3B position and get a decent potential backup MLB catcher.

I think the Texas trade is fair and realistic. I don't know if the BoSox would give up Bradley yet especially for an aging cliff lee. Just depends on how fair and realistic you want to be.

Texas deal is not quite enough in return. If Lee were a rental, then ok.

I like the Red Sox deal for you more long-term. 2 Top 50 guys in Bradley and Ranaudo. Ranaudo > Perez is what does it for me. If you do like the Texas package, I'd suggest to beef it up with another P or OF--could be prospect or young MLB.

I'd like the Utley deal more if Paco's numbers were at AAA ball. Problem is, if the Dodgers add at 2B, they probably wouldn't cannibalize the pen to do it. So, maybe a MiLB arm there.

The Pap deal, I think is selling him a bit short. People say you don't get a ton of value for a RP, which is true, but Rondon is also an RP. I think you could get some more (Tyler Collins or Jake Thompson, etc..)

Both Michael Young deals are fine. I'm not high on MY at all, but that's about as good of a return and fit as you can get.

IMO, Banuelos would not cost you Ruiz, though I'm not sure if Manny Banny getting dealt at all is realistic at this point.

I'd use Ruiz as bait to get a future 3B-man. Maybe Gyorko would be a possibility if Headley's doing well and the Padres are in the mix. Kaleb Cowart might be able to go in the Conger package as well. Cuthbert from KC is another possibility.

I'm not really sure. I think they really like JBJ a lot. But, Cliff Lee is one of those players they might consider it for. Especially if they have another OF performing well. I might score it at 85-90% realism? Maybe you can speak with a Red Sox fan who knows more about how they covet Bradley.

I think the Red Sox deal is a better deal for you, but I think in terms of realism, the Rangers deal would win. I can see them trading all 3 of those guys.

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

Hey guys. Looking to make 1 deal in the offseason to improve all things I need since I wont have much room to sign FA's. I have Encarnacion who batted .400 with 52 HR and 120 RBI (slightly inflated average due to slider problems early on). Spread sheet says he is worth Mid A, Mid A, Mid B, but maybe I could get a small upgraded piece due to his 2nd in MVP voting stats. I also have Tyler Colvin whos the odd man out since Blanco is back and I like playing with him better. He is worth a Low C and is batting around .250 with 13 HR and 50ish RBI.

So for Encarnacion+Colvin, I should be able to bring in:
                          Mid A + Mid A + Mid B + Mid C (with maybe slight upgrade since EE's stats)

The Phillies have everything I need. I wanted a top 2 SP, 3B or RF (since Jose plays both positions), and a Catcher since mine are FA (Doumit, Barajas, Shoppach).

Now, I want to return Doc to Toronto and I think hes a Mid-Low A. I also want Young and Ruiz who fit my team perfectly (via sign and trade). They are both B's. I like Ruf as well as a solid prospect and I think hes a high-mid B.

                          So far we have:

                          Encarnacion+Colvin (Mid A, Mid A, Mid B, Mid C)
                          for
                          Hallady+Young+Ruiz+Ruf (A+B+B+B).

Would it be fair to ask for Pappelbon back as well since Ill need a closer and I am giving them an MVP player for older guys? Maybe I could add back a SP prospect like Sean Nolin to the deal. The total deal would be:

                          Encarnacion+Colvin+Nolin (Mid A, Mid A, Mid B, Mid B, Mid C)
                          for
                          Hallady+Pappelbon+Young+Ruiz+Ruf (A+A+B+B+B).

So I have matched the spreadsheet to what they are worth but taking a B instead of Mid C since EE's stats are amazing and I am taking mainly older guys (including 2 they are signing and trading).

Thanks guys sorry for long post, but lots of detail

Am I the only one that's wondering who the hell placed ahead of .400/52/120?

Also, you're really selling yourself short on those trades, you could ask for quite a bit more.

Unless the phillies are still in contention I don't think they'd take on people like that. If they trade players like Ruiz, Halladay, and young they'd be looking for some younger pieces I think. But yeah, I think you could get more from a different team based on encarnacion's numbers

Also, you're really selling yourself short on those trades, you could ask for quite a bit more.
Someone must of had more home runs than him because in this game its usually the one with the most home runs wins the MVP.
