Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I'm trying to find a young bullpen arm to try and bolster my bullpen for a the future. Doesn't need to be a high potential, just someone who could contribute because my bullpen certainly isn't at the moment.Comment

Ryan Cook, James Russell, Sean Doolittle, Stephen Pryor, Charlie Furbush, Josh Fields, Brett Oberholtzer, Paul Clemens, Casey Fien, Kelvin Herrera, Aaron Crow, anyone on San Diego, Bryan Morris, Logan Ondrusek, Jose Arredondo, Mark Rogers, Josh Lindblom
depending on how teams are doing...Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Hmm, Joe Kelly and Maness are listed as starters in my franchise. They both have like 75+ stamina, so I don't think they'd suit me. I'm looking for a middle inning eater really. Loup and Shaw are both intriguing, but I'm leaning towards Shaw because he's a righty, however Loup is a little better attribute wise. Another person I'm actually looking at is Joba.Comment

Some names of young pen arms who I think are more available than Addy Reed...

I know you're the Phillies and all but Kyle Drabek could make an interesting relief option.
There's also James Russell on the Cubs who's semi-young, and Vic Black on the pirates."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
On other roads...Addy Reed could go but because of all of that control, you'd be paying a premium. A reliever that MIGHT be worth a low b means you'd have to give up that low b and then throw in something that equals value of all of that control so you'd end up giving up a mid a plus a low b or 2 mid b's plus a low b for someone who is only worth a low b, make sense?
I also know that KC is not giving up Crow.Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
A's are playing really well so I don't think Cook or Doolittle would get moved. Furbush is really interesting but he's having a great year. Russell is in AAA and is looking pretty nice to have, especially because of his higher stamina. I tend to try and use either a low end starter or a reliever with high stamina, especially because I play tons of extra inning games. For example, I'm using Zambrano right now as my long reliever but he has an ERA of 10.45 so he's gonna go haha. If anyone on San Diego holds true, Boxberger is who I want haha.Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Also, I hope this is ok to ask but the centerpiece of my Lee to Texas trade, Olt, has struggled a bit thus far and I'm not sure if he's quite ready to be in the majors yet. I was thinking maybe I should send him down and work on his hitting attributes more and sign a free agent. Also, he gets tired really easily and has to sit out every 2-3 games which is quite annoying and I don't know why that's the case either. Another option would be to trade for an old 3r baseman to play there for the rest of the year, unless you guys think i should ride out oltComment

Danny Valencia from the O's? He's stuck behind Machado and still fairly young. His power could play quite well at CBP.
I'd try and ride it it with Olt while getting that extra bat to not necessarily give him days off but rather sit him for a couple of innings per game. Run his training to up his durability?Former modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.
