Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
WASH has been aggressively pursuing Reddick, and in a second offer, have inquired about Reddick and Balfour. Both are spendy and hurt my team in the long run for that.
Their two offers:
Reddick for Clippard/Storen, Suzuki, Rendon.
* I like the idea of adding a reliever, but the cheaper and easier to re-sign
the better. I also like options at 3B. I do prefer a SP to a C right now.
Reddick and Balfour for: X.
* I want a SP in this deal who I can resign for a modest price tag. I also
want either a RP or a positional prospect at 3B, C, 1B, CF/OF.
I'm looking for deal #2 potentially for Bernadina, since they have Span and a B POT guy right under Bernadina for #2 CF, and Storen, since he's less expensive than Clippard. That would give me 2 As and them two As, and they need bullpen help, but I think maybe I'm getting too much here.Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
My point was that he's been on the MLB team all year and that he has like 13 ABs in June? He can play LF, which is Bryce Harper's job period, and 1B, where they have Adam LaRoche. He's blocked. They need pitching at the back end. It's a fit."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
2013 deadline. Im the dodgers. 4.5 games back in the west behind the D-backs. Im looking to move Billingsley for left handed RP, 2B and/or 3B. Not looking to trade for prospects or minors.
Contenders are Cardinals, Pirates, Nats, Braves, Rangers, A's, Tigers, Indians, Orioles, Blue Jays and Red Sox.
Thanks for any suggestions.Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Billingsley to the M's for Ackley and O. Perez ? Depending on stats or maybe C. Furbush.. And if you need a SP back in the deal, A. Harang or J. Saunders could be thrown in a C prospect or something. Harang actually had success in L.A. before and Saunders put up decent #'s in Arizona pitching against the NL West.Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I know he's listed on the chart as "unrealistic", but I'm curious (still running with the Mariners right now, to experience The Show a bit more, but planning a new franchise once the deadline is past).
In terms of value and needs, do you guys see any way for the Twins to acquire Javier Baez, without having to sacrifice Aguilar, Rosario, Sano, Arcia or Buxton ?
Maybe something that would include a package of Gibson/Meyer + Hicks and something else ? Could that be a good start ?Comment

Mauer for Baez + Soler could work."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment
