I think thats probably a little on the high side. The Pirates have been inquiring on Norris for Glasnow. Cosart would be the highest ranked prospect in the deal, also major league ready. Mathisen has been pretty disappointing offensively, and the Pirates already drafted over him this season in Reese Mcquire. Bell is also well behind in his development due to a knee injury that kept him out almost an entire season. Cosart, DeShields> Mathisen, Bell

Houston would be giving up Norris, plus the 2 highest ranked prospects in the transaction.

My proposal was based off my belief that in the game, Mathisen and Bell were both high B's.

I may just wait an see who Norris is actually dealt for IRL. I mean it's gonna happen tommorrow anyway. I've seen where if it is Pittsburgh Houston really likes Glasnow, and the Pirates aren't willing to deal Polanco.

I wanted to toss in Mathisen due to the fact he's a Texas kid, and would fill a need. Pirates don't really need him anymore. If I'd go through with the Veras to Detroit deal, I wouldn't really need Bell anyways. So maybe just Norris, and another player for Glasnow an Mathisen.

Was thinking of some possible CPU and CPU trades and I need some help. I'm not familiar with the Tampa Bay Rays so could someone tell me which positions they need help at. I know that their rotation is already in beast mode but other than Wil Myers and Evan Longoria, I don't know them very well.

Thanks in advance for any help...

The Mariners have placed Maurer on the block and I need a SP so I want to offer this:

Astros Send: SP Asher Wojiehowski low B, RP Josh Fields mid B, LF Brandon Barnes low B

Mariners send: Brandon Maurer high B (86 ovr), RP Stephan Pryor high C

The Mariners really need a LF and That's why I am sending Barnes as he could help them out. I know this is an inter division trade but I think it helps each team

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

July 31st in my M's Franchise in 2014. Boston has been on a losing streak and now sits 11 games out in the East and 6.5 out of the Wildcard behind teams like the Rangers,Yankees,Blue Jays, Tigers, Orioles, Angels and even the Twins.

So I am thinking they now are in the seller group, joining Houston (15 GB), Oakland (18.6 GB), the Mets (16.5), Phillies (18.5) and Marlins (22.0), Cubs (19.5), Pirates (21.0), Rockies (9.0).

The Giants have won 4 in a row and 7 out of 10 and are now tied with the Dodgers (also winning 7-10) for 2nd place in the NL West 1 game back of Arizona. The Padres dropped to 3rd/4th (1.5 games back).

I just made some deals for Arizona (got Cliff Lee) and the Padres (got Peavy and A. Ramirez).

I now want to make a deal for the Giants..

They need help behind the plate (Posey is on the DL for 3 weeks), help in the OF (last years adds A. Soriano is hitting .262 with 2 HR, and S. Hairston is on the DL), also could use a upgrade at 2B and possibly SS as Crawford is a B. Ryan clone (great glove no offense).

I was thinking about doing a deal with Boston, grabbing M. Napoli and putting him behind the plate until Posey returns, then moving him to 1B and Belt to the OF.. Also thought about adding S. Victorino for LF as he is the Sox's #4 OF, (they have A. Either starting in RF), and could promote B. Bentz or B. Jacobs to be the new #4.

Napoli is only hitting .219 with 11 HR and 37 RBI, but last season hit .281 with 48 HR and 116 RBI. Victorino is hitting .239 with 11 HR and 25 RBI.

Figure it's a buy low opportunity, but the Giants are weak at prospects other then young pitching which Boston already has a lot of in De La Rosa,Webster,Barnes,Ranaudo,Workman,Owens and Britton.

Any thoughts Spreadsheet says 2 High C's for each.

Looking at the roster, I was thinking maybe 1B A. Villalona (65B) currently in AA, and OF F. Peguero (62C) if I just went with the same positions...

Another twist would be the Giants dealing P. Sandoval (making 11.7 mil) for Napoli, Victorino, and Middlebrooks, (not realistic) but seams fair as spreadsheet has Pablo worth 3 High B.

Another option could be a deal with the Pirates for Russell Martin, and J. Tabata.

Where then I could deal someone like Heston or Crick, to give Pittsburgh another young SP to go with Cole and Tallion

Or I could deal with Houston getting K. Morales for 1B and J. Elmore for 2B, move B. Belt to LF and still need to find a C.

Houston also could use young SP, as I have already dealt B. Norris and B. Peacock away along with P. Humber.

I love Pryor in my Franchise, but I would take that deal, even with it being inter-division. From what I have seen from Barnes in real life, I really like him.

Yea Barnes is a great fielder. I just don't have room for him anymore in my chise

Depends on how Looney and Scott are playing as well as M. Joyce and K. Johnson, but they could use help at 1B/DH/LF/2B and most behind the plate. Also depending on how Rodney is doing as the CP, could use help there too. Nice thing is they have Zorbist who can move around allowing you to put him either in the OF or at 1B or 2B, thus making it easier to trade guys.

In my Franchise I just dealt A. Rios and A. Dunn from Chicago to the Rays.

They do have extra SP to deal, because with their current starting 5, Archer is stuck in the bullpen, and Guerrieri,Colome and Odorizzi all in AAA. Personally I wouldn't be afraid to deal Cobb or Niemann away because of this.
