Is this thing still running?

Not yet, it seems. I know I vetted most of my deals in the trade thread. I think the issue was a lot of guys have been waiting for updated roster set 'x', so not too many have started or got deep into their 1st season yet. Other issue, was we had 2-3 arb requests linger for 1-2 weeks or more, so people don't think they'll get a timely response in here...so they go to the more active trade thread.

When the pitch edits rosters drop and so forth I think it will get more active in here. If the dynasty forums are any indication, people are starting to get more active with and deeper into their 'chises.

I'd be all over this if I had started my season yet. Just busy lately but once I have free time, I'm gonna be in here more.

We're interested in acquiring <b>Scott Baker</b> (83 OVR, B POT). It's been a tough year for you guys while we still have a shot at a playoff spot. Although Baker is having a decent year (2.85 ERA, 1.10 WHIP but only 2 - 4), he'll be a free agent at the end of the year. We're willing to part with one of our top catching prospects (63 OVR, C POT), <b>Sebastian Valle</b>, a 21 y.o. RHB currently sporting a .268/.320/.377 slash with 6 HR and 24 RBI while spltting time in Double-A. We feel this is more than a fair price for what might amount to a half-season rental.

A repeat of last year doesn't seem to be in the cards for you. You trail the AL East leaders by double-digits and are several games out the second WC spot with many teams ahead of you. We're interested in your LF, <b>Nolan Reimold</b> (29 y.o., 75 OVR, C POT). He's having a nice year with his .291/.347/.545 slash, 19 HR, and 50 RBI. We're still in the playoff hunt and we think having a RH bat like that in our lineup will help put us over the top. Since Nolan is still under team control for a couple years, we've prepared a generous offer for you. First, we're offering one of our top pitching prospects, <b> Adam Morgan</b>, a 23 y.o. lefthander that shows a lot of promise (63 OVR, B POT) even though he's struggling a bit this season in Double-A (0-4, 5.57 ERA, 1.76 WHIP). We thing a change of scenery might just be what he needs to reach his potential. Second, we are offering <b>Tyson Gillies</b>, a 24 y.o. fleet-footed centerfielder that bats left and projects to be a top of the lineup guy. His slash is .253/.297/.365 in Double-A and, like Morgan, we think he's destined for good things (64 OVR, C POT).

If you are still interested, one month later, we agree to your proposal. We are a bit surprised that Scott Baker made such a successful return after setbacks in ST.

Since we are obviously building for the future, and we could use a nice catching prospect, this fills our needs nicely.

We apologize that this is just getting back to you now more than a month later...the administrative assistant who handled this inquiry has been fired.

In the future, it would be best to just use my "personal line" (PM), which takes the middle man out. Whatever we agree/disagree on with a final offer will then be made public (in this thread).
