Jose Fernandez allows a 3 run bomb in the first to Lucas Duda, he settles down and goes 6 2/3 allowing just those 3.

Tie it up on a LoMo double, Polanco SF and a Ruggiano HR. Stanton hits a laser of a line drive HR to LF to take a 4-3 lead over the Mets. Ike Davis responds with a 2 run HR to take a 5-4 lead in the 8th off Ryan Webb.

Bottom of the 9th with 2 outs I take a risk and pinch hit for Hechavarria with Greg Dobbs(risk because I had no one left to play SS apparently on my bench, need to fix that). He hits a looper into LF that falls literally an inch or two between the SS/LF. I then PH for the pitcher with Casey Kotchman who crushes the 2 run walk off HR.

Marlins improve to 10-17, Mets fall to 8-19

<table><td bgcolor=#000000>April is now past us. And we are doing much better than i had expected. Especially after a trade that saw our best player leave for the AL.

We traded Andrew McCutchen to the Kansas City Royals for 1B Eric Hosmer, SP John Lamb, and CF Jarrod Dyson. I couldn't hit with him. He was hitting under .100. I know it was early. But it gave us an everyday 1st baseman and future #3 hitter. And arguably the fastest player in the majors in Jarrod Dyson. Depending on how the pitcher perform (which they are doing great right now). Lamb could be up as early as July. He has always pitch well for me in my KC chise so i knew i wanted him.

The rotation has been very good. Liriano is 4-0, with a 1.05 ERA in 6 games. In his 2 no decisions he left with the lead in the 8th and we ended up losing. Burrnet is 4-1, Johnathan (BUM) Sanchez is doing much better than his real life version. 3-1, with a 3.34 ERA.

Hitting has been good as well. No one is destroying the ball and racking up RBI's. Pedro Alvarez leads the team with 5 HR, and 17 RBI. Travis Snider is leading the team with a .443 AVG in 79 AB. But doesn't qualify as a league leader. Jarrod Dyson has 11 SB.

Defense is complete crap. We lead the majors with 27 errors. And are scared of the ball. It bites.

I did this exact same thing and he was awesome as a set up man in the games I played. Made the transitions from the 8th to 9th innings much easier on my squad.

Yeah, he is my setup man and Henderson is the 7th inning guy if we need him, sometimes Henderson will come in the 8th but it's usually Wilson. About to start another series, (second series of season), so hoping he can come through.

N4E's Baltimore Orioles Franchise

First month of baseball is over for the Orioles, The O's currently sit in 4th in the AL East (12-15) after a super slow start. The bats and pitching were horrific, the O's finally called up top prospect Dylan Bundy to replace Jake Arrieta who was set to triple A. Bundy showed out in his 1st start (6.0 IP, 2 h, 0 r) vs the Seattle Mariners to give Baltimore. Chris Davis, Adam Jones and Matt Wieters who are off to slow starts looked to turn around the corner vs the Mariners, we'll see in May is going to be a good month for the 3 bats. Our pitching finished the month ranked 20th in team ERA (4.13) Miguel Gonzalez (3.43) was the lone starter with a less then 4.00 era, hopefully adding Dylan Bundy to the rotation will make some changes.

Just a note from my Red Sox franchise...
Jose Iglesias is awesome and I dont mean out of this world or unrealistic awesome... Im at the end of August and he's hitting .292 with 7 HR, 27 RBI and 42 Runs scored, minded you this is in only 87 games too...
But the great about it is he's playing like Jose Iglesias, bloop single, grounders through the fielders, getting gap shot sometimes... AND occasionally, more against lefties, I muscle up on a pitch early/ahead in the count (by pressing square) and he hits one out over the monstah!
This is just fantastic right now, like I said he's no MVP but he is playing stellar defense (1 error as of now) and fits in perfectly in the 9 hole...

I'm currently 69-50 in mid-August with my Jays' franchise. I have the Jays leading the AL East, but the Yankees and Rays are only 4 and 5 games back, respectively. The Jays' 69 wins is good for best in the majors, the Nats are 2nd with a 68 and the Braves and Reds both have 67. The Indians lead the AL Central with a .5 game lead over Detroit, and the Angels lead the AL West by 4.5 games over the Rangers. In the NL West the D'Backs have a 2.5 game lead over Dodgers and 3.5 game lead over the Padres. Anyways, I had gotten off to a fantastic start and built up a huge lead in the first two months before my team was ravaged by injuries and have mostly played .500 ball after mid-June.

Jose Reyes, Edwin Encarnacion, Jose Bautista and RA Dickey represented the Jays in the All-Star game. Bautista won the Home Run Derby finals by a single home run, defeating teammate Encarnacion. Bryce Harper is the runaway NL MVP candidate, he's batting .325 with 39 home runs and 107 RBI.

I've made a few trades thus far, moving JP Arencibia and Colby Rasmus to the Giants for two A-potential prospects, one of whom is a 70-overall, 18-year old catcher (using SCEA rosters, so it's a random player). I had signed Carlos Zambrano earlier in the season due to injuries to my rotation and I moved him at the deadline to the Giants for some random B-prospect (Giants' had injuries to Cain and Lincecum at the time and need pitching). I also moved Adam Lind, Moises Sierra and a low pitching prospect to the Rockies for Tyler Colvin (who promptly hit 4 home runs in his Jays' debut) and a B-potential RF with crazy power and good speed, but very low contact.

Also, I play a fair number of home games at classic stadiums, the Rogers Centre is just an eyes-sore (both in-game and in real life), so I end up playing a few games at Griffith, Crosley and Shibe when I get tired of playing at the RC

2013 Angels Franchise:

- Season has just started and the Angels have been looking pretty good. They start the season by sweeping the Reds in Cincinnati after great performances by Albert Pujols & Chris Iannetta in offense, and by Ryan Madson who recorded all 3 saves from that series.

- The Angels traveled to Arlington to start a 3 game series with their division rivals the Texas Rangers. In the first game of the series, the Rangers got a dominant victory over the Angels defeating them by the score of 8-3. Jason Vargas took the loss for the Angels, while Colby Lewis threw 8.2 strong innings en route to his first victory of the season.

- In the second game, Angels pitcher Tommy Hanson got the victory after throwing 7.0 innings of 5 hit ball game. Angels won 4-3. Ryan Madson got his 4th save of the season.

- In the series finale it was, on paper, a battle of aces. Jered Weaver (who had received his first W of the season in the season opener in Cincinnati) faced off against the Japanese player Yu Darvish, who was coming of a complete shutout game. However, the Angels managed to knock off Darvish just in the 4th inning after Albert Pujols started an inning rally delivering a HR to LF, followed by 4 straight hits and in the end, Chris Iannetta putting the final dot in the game by hitting a three-run double to make the scoreboard 5-0. Jered Weaver got his 2nd win of the season after throwing 8 innings. Angels won the game 6-1, and thus winning also the first series of the rivalry.

The Angels returned to LA to received division rivals Oakland A's (home season opener)

The game featured A.J. Griffin pitching for the A's facing lefty C.J. Wilson of the Angels. The A's scored the first run of the game very early, as Yoenis Cespedes hit a HR to RF in the top of the 1st inning to make it 1-0. Following inning though, Josh Hamilton ties the game delivering his first homer of the season, a shot into RF. 1-1
It was a pitching duel after that, as both pitchers managed to retired in order without allowing a hit. Wilson was getting a lot of ground outs while Griffin was striking out Angel after Angel by throwing his 68mph sweeping curve that kept the Angels out of rhythm. However that only lasted for a bit, as in the bottom of the 4th inning, Erick Aybar starts the inning with a bunt single. Pujols struck out and Aybar stole 2nd. Hamilton followed with a line drive that hit Griffin right in the shin, but he managed to take the 1-3 out. Next up catcher Iannetta hits a single to CF, scoring Aybar, and right after, Mark Trumbo hits a double to the deepest part of left center which allows Iannetta to score the third run of the game. 1-3 Wilson continued his dominance and his night ended after throwing 7 IP. In the bottom of the 7th, Trumbo & Callaspo hits consecutive singles, then it followed by a single to CF by Peter Bourjos in which Trumbo scored the 4th run of the game. 1-4 The A's couldn't do anything after and Ryan Madson came into the 9th and delivered a 1-2-3 inning for his 5th save of the season.

Notes: - Chris Iannetta (.385AVG, 0 HR, 5 RBI) & Albert Pujols (.455AVG, 2 HR, 11 RBI) leading the offense.

- 2B Howie Kendrick having a bad start of the season, as he started 0-26. LF Mike Trout also having a bad start of the season, hitting only .125AVG with no HR or RBI.

May didn't turn out as good as April. Quite a few of our bats cooled down a bit. Pitching stayed about the same. Bullpen could be better. I added Roy oswalt and Brian Wilson halfway through the month. Wilson is my set up man. Oswalt has been trading starts with Wandy Rodriguez pretty much.

Started my Kansas City Royals Franchise. Lost the 1st game but I am on a 6 game win streak. My home opener was awesome.

It was Ervin Santana vs Kyle Gibson. Santana was dealing, striking out 10 Twins, including 5 in a row at one point. But Gibson was awesome as well, keeping me off balance.

So, we go to the 9th inning, scoreless ballgame. I get the first two runners (Escobar and Gordon) on base, then Jared Burton proceeds to strike out both Billy Butler and Eric Hosmer. So its two on, two out for Jeff Franceour, and on a 1-2 pitch, hits it down the line, past a diving Trevor Plouffe, and the Royals walk off on their home opener.
