I started a new Jays franchise, deciding to play without the DH, use the SCEA rosters (I don't mind the fictional farm systems) and to play in more of the classic stadiums instead of the Rogers Centre. I'm in the 2014 season after simming through much of the previous season, but I'll offer a bit of a recap of what happened in the 2013 season. First off, the Jays made it to the ALCS before getting swept by the Tigers, who ended up losing in the World Series to the San Diego Padres (4-1). I traded Josh Johnson to the Brewers before the trade deadline, acquiring Chris Tillman and an A-potential SS. I also traded JP Arencibia and Rajai Davis to the Giants for both an A-potential catcher and A-potential SP prospect. In the 2013 offseason I signed Curtis Granderson to a 3-year/$19 million deal. That freed me up to trade Colby Rasmus and Josh Thole to the Cubs for RP Mike Adams, C Wellington Castillo and a prospect (sort of a lopsided trade in the Cubs' favour, but I could live without those pieces).

At the moment I'm in early September 2014 with the Jays running a 77-52 record, good for 1st place in the AL East. The Tigers lead the AL Central with a 86-44 record and a 23.5 game lead over the 2nd place team in that division. Surprisingly, the Astros are leading the Wild Card race, though I'm not quite sure how. I traded JA Happ and Brand Lincoln at the deadline to the Reds for RP Masset, not a great deal, but it freed me up to promote my top pitching prospect. That prospect, Luke Lopez has been a pleasant surprise. Despite topping out at 86 mph on his fastball, he sports a great K/9 and a killer 70 mph changeup. RA Dickey seems to always be injured, and he's continued to regress all the way down to a 70 overall. Speaking of regressing, the Yankees are 50-79 and big contracts Jeter and A-Rod are starters in AAA...

After a disappointing end to the season in the NLDS. We look to build on the success and get better. Everyone was resigned in the off season. Jeremy Hellickson got a 5 year deal. And we signed a 20 year old catcher with A potential to eventually replace Russell Martin.

In Spring Training Jeff Locke and Jonathan Sanchez both won spots on the roster. With Sanchez going to the pen. Clint Barmes was terrible and will start the season in AAA. Jarrod Dyson will play SS vs righties. With the rookie Lorenzo Asencio playing vs lefties.

So this funny thing happened.. Was in the delete option in the main menu about to delete a roster I downloaded but I ended up deleting my Angels franchise.. LOL oh well. This happened to me last week so I was to tired of doing it again so I went straight up and made a Yankees franchise.

My plan is to develop all prospects in the Yankees organization to get them into the bigs. I'm just starting my second year of franchise. (I'll provide roster and lineups and that later)

To tell you a summary about my first season: It was crap. I only played like 15-20 games and simmed the rest. I tried to keep the rosters as accurate as possible so since day one: Jeter, Tex, ARod, Granderson and Pinera were in Class A, while Youkilis, Nuñez, Cervelli and Chamberlain were on the DL. (By the way, those players were called up the first day after the ASG)
The Yankees ended 5th in the division, with a record of 68-94. Now, I'm starting my 2nd year which I intend to play half the games. My goal in reality is that by the year 2015 (in year 3 of franchise) most of the prospects are starters in the big leagues. Then there I'll play whole season.

I'll post everything about season 2 later and what movements I did in the offseason.

So as I explained earlier, my Angels franchise was deleted by accident.. I decided to go with my team, Yankees, and try to develop the best I can their prospects and try to win multiple championships with those young promising players. As a result, in the first season the Yankees finished dead last and with the second worst record in the AL.

Offseason came and there were A LOT of roster movements. Here are the changes that were made:
- Andy Pettitte and Mariano Rivera retired
- Kevin Youkilis was involved in a 3-team-trade; He went to the Angels while we received SP Daniel Hudson.
- Ivan Nova was traded to the Mets for SP Jon Niese
- Phil Hughes rejected the Yankees quality offer. He went and signed with the Washington Nationals.
- Derek Jeter, Hiroki Kuroda, Travis Hafner, Ichiro Suzuki, Ben Francisco, Vernon Wells, Brennan Boesch, Joba Chamberlain, Francisco Cervelli and Chris Stewart were all gone. Some of them were released while the others did not received any offer from the Yankees so they left.
- Yankees signed Kelly Shoppach to be Austin Romine's backup.
- Yankees signed RF Hunter Pence for a 2 year, 5M deal (club option)
- Yankees signed lefty specialist Javier Lopez and utility Willie Bloomquist.

Yankees main goal is that by next season, they can count with at least 4 of their top prospects to be in the starting lineup/rotation. They are rolling this year with David Adams who will be the starting third baseman, Corban Joseph will be the utility, Ronnier Mustelier will be the 4th OF and prospect Mark Montgomery will take the duty of closer. 3 user StL Cardinals , Boston Red Sox , and Detroit Tigers. Playing every game.

We turned the 81 game mark last night. Jus some thoughts on playing every game that we noticing.


- I read some great info StealYerFace posted in the differences between wins and losses. Jus talking ab the pitching meter and how to get just the right movement. It really made me sit down an master it. Added another level of detail and fun to the franchise. Jus being able to throw my slider as hard as possible and place it somewhat is sweet. Im carving these guys up.

- My cuz the Red Sox manager is a classic 4 seam slider 2seam kind of pitcher. Michael pineda , matt Latos , rubby Delarosa are the kind of guys on his staff. Power arms. Always has been . Well he has been using Aj Griffon this year and absolutely loves his stuff and style of play. A soft tossser good accuracy and movement. He loves he isn't throwing strikes lol Jus completely oblivious before I guess. All these grueling games open you up to everything. Glad to see it. Which leads me to my next point.

- Red sox manager has been on the fence all year ab Madison Bumgarner. He pitches well enough to win but his era is 4.50. So as I try to help with a trade the feeling of the future is very important. We are actually doing this whole thing right. Going to keep it maybe get 3-4 years in. Im like man it's too bad he doesn't work because hes exactly wht you want a soft tosser and young It clicked... He had been taking a power approach all year. Next start that day actually 11ks in 6 ip. He's in Boston to stay.

- We use the scea roster very 1st available. I (StL) have used a player Anthony Ruff catcher all year long. He's jus a random created guy that came with the roster. Had oppo splits as my catcher so I said hey why not and it has worked out well. The red sox manager uses one too. Basil Padilla. His is up for rookie of the year. Between those guys , the amateur draft , and the quest to play multiple years there will be created players Absolutely fine with this roster.

I started a Miami Marlins Franchise which I will play whenever I will get bored or frustrated with my main KC dynasty.

I want to see what's possible for them already this year so I added some Free agent veterans:

Bobby Jenks, RP (the Marlins Bullpen is/was a mess)
K Rod, SU/CP (see above)
Dallas Braden, Sp (he plus Nolasco will be on the top of my rotation)
Grady Sizemore, OF (4th outfielder, good fielder, decent speed)
Casper Wells OF (5th outfielder with decent power)
Ryan Theriot, IF (a very good utility player in the game imo)

As you can see I upgraded basically every part of the team. What do you think abt my additions guys?

Season is underway! The Yankees started hot, sweeping the Toronto Blue Jays to start the 2014 campaign. Rookie phenom Mark Montgomery recorded his first career save in game 1. The MVP of the series was Robinson Cano, who batted .500 with 4 HR and 6 RBI's.
The Yankees will continue the homestand by welcoming the Chicago White Sox in a 3 game series. In game 1, it will be LHP Jose Quintana against RHP Michael Pineda; Game 2 will feature Rafael Montero vs Barry Zito and in the final game of the series it will be a battle of aces, as LHP Chris Sale will square off against LHP CC Sabathia

My 2014 Toronto Blue Jays won the World Series, defeating the Washington Nationals in walk-off fashion in a wild Game 6. To start off, the Jays finished the season 102-60, one game behind the Detroit Tigers for the best record in the majors (103-59). The Astros beat the Rays in the one game Wild Card game before pulling off a huge upset over the 103-win Tigers (I have no idea how the Astros made the playoffs or beat the Tigers, voodoo magic maybe). My Jays faced the Angels in the ALDS, winning in 7 games. That series had one notable game (think it was game 6), Jered Weaver tore through my lineup on his way to 7.2 innings of perfect game material stuff, holding on to a tenuous 1-0 lead over the Jays. Brandon Morrow had only allowed a single run on three hits, with 11 K's through 8 innings. In the bottom of the 8th, with 2 outs, LF Melky Cabrera lucked out with a bloop single which was followed up with a Brett Lawrie 2-run home run the very next at bat. In the span of 2-3 pitches Weaver went from near perfection to the losing pitcher, crazy game.

Anyways, the Jays faced the Astros in the ALCS, winning in a competitive 7 games. The series turned into one of the sort where I won the first game, they won the 2nd, I won the 3rd, they won the 4th and so on. Very competitive series, but in the end my Jays prevailed, moving on to the World Series to face the Washington Nationals. The Nationals started off the series with 2 crushing victories over my squad, but not to be outdone my team rallied to win three straight, which brings me to game 6 at the Rogers Centre...

In the top of the 8th my Jays blew a two-run lead on a couple of errors and a 2 RBI-triple by Danny Espinosa. With the game tied 4-4, the Nats bullpen started to tear through lineup, though my bullpen was equally dominant, so the game went to extra innings. In the bottom of the 10th and with the back of my order coming to the plate, I had little hope of breaking through, but a 1-out single by Melky Cabrera put the winning run on base. Brett Lawrie was next to bat, but struck out on a 100 mph 4-seam fastball from Nats' RP Henry Rodriguez, which brought my rookie catcher to bat. My catcher had hit all of 1 home run the entire regular season and was coming up against a pretty good RP, but on a first pitch, middle-low fastball in the zone, I managed to crush a 2-run, walk-off home run that just made it over the fences. Unlikeliest of home run hitters smashes the series-winning hit, crazy.

Heading into the off-season, I resigned everyone who was due to leave. Morrow accepted a 1-year $6.9 million deal, Melky re-signed on a 2-year $5 million deal and I extended Brett Lawrie on a 4-year, $18.5 million deal with a club option. I concede I may have overpaid a bit on Lawrie (he seemed determined to go to arbitration), but I'll have him under team control until he's 30, and by that time I should have a replacement ready to go. I'm hoping to have a good 2015 season, it should be the last that I have most of my core under contract, so I'm thinking of going through a rebuild shortly after, see if I can pick up a bunch of compensatory picks perhaps and explore franchise mode with a less-stacked team.

lol, this game is crazy at time. In one season, 5 of the top 10 teams in the MLB all came from the same division(no shock...it was the division I'm in)

Yankees May: 12-18
Yankees June: 18-8

I'm the 3rd best team in the MLB(win% wise), yet stuck in the wild card spot cause Yankees are going crazy(every year in this game, there's always at least 1 team in my division who makes my division look so tough to compete in,especially when you consider that 2nd best team in my division every year, is good enough to be division leader in all but 1 other division in the league. Heading into September, the AL Central leader has a.....496WIN%!)

lol, my SP who went: 18-7,188K,3.27ERA finished 2nd in CY Young to a guy who went 19-7,152K,3.84ERA. My team won division, the guy who won CY Young, his team finished with 77 wins.

Playing with my favorite team, the Cards, and we currently sitting at today's date of 5/20 and are leading the NL Central by 1.5 games with the Pirates behind us. Top hitters are Beltran and Matt Carpenter who are both batting ~.330 respectively.
