Because the issue people are seeing takes place during the leadoff AB in an inning, not every first pitch. I am about to run the 3 game trial that Heros suggested and will post the results later tonight.

I get that, but are we comparing first pitch strike % of ALL first pitches to first pitch strike % of leadoff ABs. I there a chance the the strike % for leadoff AB is 90%?

I'll list the pitch and location. I am using 1-9 for location. 1-3 across the top from left to right, 4-6 across the middle left to right, 7-9 across the bottom from left to right.

Game 1 (Gallardo vs Price)
Milwaukee
Gallardo pitched 6 innings, every pitch was a 4FB, the locations were 4,5,6,5,7,2
Badenhop pitched the 7th, pitch was a SNK, location was 6
Henderson pitched the 8th and 9th, both pitches were 4 FB, locations 2, 4

Tampa
Price pitched 8 innings, every pitch was a 4FB, locations 4,5,5,4,4,1,6,8
Peralta pitched the 9th inning, pitch was a 4FB, location 8

Game 2 (Niese vs Samardzija)

NY
Niese pitched 6 innings, all pitches were 4FB, locations 4,5,7,5,6,3
Byrdak pitched 1 inning, pitch was a SL, location 5
Ramirez pitched 1 inning, pitch was a 4FB, location 7

Cubs
Samardzija pitched 8 innings, all pitches were a 4FB, location 1,7,4,1,5,3,8,8
Marmol pitched 1 inning, pitch was a SL, location 8

Game 3 (Beachy vs Beckett)

Atl
Beachy pitched 5 innings, all pitches were a 4 FB, location 3,3,5,9,B. Last one is a ball.
O'Flaherty pitched one inning, pitch was a SNK, location 7
Gearrin pitched one inning, pitch was a SNK, location 6
Walden pitched one inning, pitch was a 4FB, location 2

LAD
Beckett pitched 4 innings, pitches were all 4 FB, locations 7,6,1,9
Capuano pitched 2 innings, pitches were both SNK, location 5,9
Belisario pitched 1 inning, pitch was SNK, location 7
Jansen pitched 1 innings, pitch was Cut, location 7
League pitched 1 inning, pitch was SNK, location 3

I saw one ball total. I believe all pitches were the pitchers #1. A few strikes i think should have been balls but they weren't.

Just ran 3 CPU vs. CPU games using the method Heros posted on page 36, Philadelphia at Atlanta, default sliders, all star difficulty in my profile. Of the 52 AB's to lead off an inning, 48 of those pitches were for strikes, around 92%, and an overwhelming majority were the pitchers' primary pitch . FWIW I am playing on a DL copy from the PS store.

I have a physical copy yes so its nothing to do with download copy issues.

I think Bobhead might be onto something with playing on a different difficulty level than the game says, i.e. it might say HOF but could be stuck on Veteran etc.

Worth testing later.
