You can easily see the momentum when you bunt. Last year you can make your runner round first base nicely with the command right until the last moment. Now, you have to do it much earlier.
Try slowing down the fielders' reaction, speed, and arm strength. These areas have always needed tuning in years past and I've done the same this year already.
I use classic as well and have on several occasion of runner going from 1st -3rd and come to a dead stop after rounding the bag at second..only to be thrown out at 3rd after I have to take charge again,or send him back to second...last year never an issue,so last game I played last night 1st -3rd runner I just had him digging for the plate and stopped him at 3rd with no problems.....

Well, I have Fielder Speed/Reaction lower, but now I raise arm strength. A ball too deep makes the outfielder really lob a ball in, even to a cut-off man. He needs a little bit of speed behind his throw to remedy the slow run speed of him, or else runners start going all over the place.
Last year I used a throw speed of 6, and this year I have it at 5, and am thinking of having it at 4 because runners are still being thrown out at home plate constantly. I think it's because of them rounding third base slowly. Fix that, fix all. I could probably even raise throwing speed back to 6 again.
NOTE: Baserunning speed is on 8 right now.

All my videos are RTTS so they advance or not on their own.
Maybe there could be an issue with CPU controlled runners, that looked a little wierd. What I was talking about was the break stride animation when the runner decides late to go home.

It's an issues with both CPU and User controlled. I stated in this thread I have the issue in RTTS with my own player rounding 3rd. In RTTS, all you need to do is press up on the Left Stick in order to continue running. As I round 3rd while holding up to try to score, there is a huge slowdown.
