Yep. I have plenty of injuries in my 30 team chise. He must have set it up wrong.

For me hitting has never been more realistic. The new ball physics are nothing short of amazing. And that floaty feel that some may be not feeling is exactly what I love when I hit bloopers, and tailing line drives, drives not hit on the sweet spot that float more. The sheer variety of ball trajectories is amazing and I am still seeing new stuff all the time. Also this year I can really pull the ball better than ever. My hit variety is superb.

On 12 (which is still also an amazing game) every hit felt the same. Hard. The ball was a rocket more often than not with 12. This year they really got it right IMO.
Yes there are some quirks. The base runner slow down around third that occurs sometimes (with great highly rated base runners when I pre-load it right they do not slow down).

The Show 12 was my first one and i got it thinking that it was by far the best sports game out there at that point. having that i mind i was rather shocked that it didnt get some of the very basic things right like the hitting as you say yourself, balls at the pitcher and all the ground rule doubles. it might still have been the best sports game but that is not because it was so excellent (it's still a good game!) but much rather cos other games had/have even bigger/more issues.
considering that the improvements to those areas are great but in my opinion rather a necessity than anything else they dont stand out in such a positive way in this years game. it's more like some bugs that were getting fixed.

the team i'm controlling has a good amount of injuries, even in the minors. however none of the other teams has any injuries. you got a clue what could be my mistake?

I have no issues with injuries can pretty much guarantee you did not set up 30 team control right and actually have CPU roster control set to on, thus negating injuries

i pretty sure i have roster control off, it also says that when having it on cpu trading will be disabled and in my franchise there are cpu trades.

are injuries set to manual under user settings and without looking at the game Im not sure exactly what it is under inside user settings

man thanks a million, found it in user settings under gameplay.. injuries were switched off, im such a ****** lol, sorry for wasting your time.
on the other hand i for sure had the roster control off all the way, no idea how injuries could have gotten switched off

lol no problem a lot of moving parts within franchise for those unfamiliar with inner workings, guess you have to retract your post and claim user error

I will put it this way. Out of every year that I have purchased The Show, this one is my least favorite. To me, last year was as close to perfect as it has ever been. Feel like they took 12 steps backward with this years game.

Agreed 100000000%. I finished an entire season last year playing every inning of every game. This year I've played 13 games and I'm done. I think this game took 10 steps back in terms of realistic gameplay and generating rallies. They need to go back to last years game and just tweak it.

I agree as well, though I don't have the perspective of any of the "Shows" before 12.

12 was my first and I absolutely loved it, it was super realistic, challenging but rewarding, played it nonstop.

13 feels like a totally different game. Pitch speed, bat swing speed, timing windows all drastically changed. Feels like they fell into the trap of catering to those complaining about the difficulty and instead of creating a lower difficulty or developing a better training mode, they just fiddled with timing and speed until they broke the game.

I will be staying away from future versions of the show unless they revert back to the formula in 12.

Sony is going to save me from buying a PS4 unless they go back to 12 with the hit variety and ball physics of 13. 13 is a good game but not a step forward for timing hitters. I prefer 11 and 12 over 13.

IMHO this game had been on a steady decline since '09, but this year it finally reversed course.

The only real problems I see are the piss poor regression system, trade logic, and budgets but luckily I use 30 team control and can prevent or rectify any mistake. Of course that also means I spend an entire weekend staying up from 12-4am in the morning while my wife is sleep for every off-season.

So while I disagree that this game was disappointing, I could certainly see how someone would be frustrated with the things I mentioned above.
