Around Opening Day, probably 2 or 3 days after it.

              Hey fellas,
Monday update, I am now done with 10 teams. Knight has been given the first 8 via fax. I will send him 12 more hopefully on Friday, and then 10 on Sunday. So, that is your update in terms of where the rosters stand as of right now.

Kight anyway you can post what Prospects you have created on the A.L. set? And what ones you manually created yourself so I know what ones have A potential?

                  Thanks for the sticky!

Yes..Austin Jackson will be in. I'm trying to get the top 15 prospects from each team...then full correct AAA and then fill in the rest. Of course...that does depend on positions and how heavy a team is in one area with prospects.

First off...gotta say..MAJOR KUDOS to bosshog,RodCarew,Strut,brunnoce,Jason19 and Razr as well as ChiCubsfan20...tree3five...Heisman...HustlinOwl... astrumfe......Revolution....
baseball88....and many many others(please don't kill me for not listing you....I lose track! .....I'm old! ) for all the help and info.

Right now...between bosshogs prospect info and Razr pitch updates...WOW...AWESOME...I'm getting nervous whether I can keep up or not!

I will keep you guys updated on the progress...going pretty smoothly right now

                  M.K.

Knight, I have a question. I thought about PM'ing it to you, but I thought someone might have an opinion or some input on it.

I posted a short list of faces that I would like to see Brunnoce do (http://www.operationsports.com/forum...post2039307843) and then I realized that some of these guys might not be included because they might have slipped too far down the "prospect list". Will you be including the following:
                      Drew Stubbs (Reds)
Juan Carlos Sulbaran (Reds) Too young and little known to be on some people's "top propects" list.
                      Mitch Canham (Padres)
                      Darwin Barney (Cubs)
                      Tony Thomas (Cubs)
                      Landon Powell (A's)
                      Trevor Crowe (Indians)
Jake McGee (Rays) Jake was one of the top 5 pitchers in the minors, until his elbow injury in June.
Dallas Buck (Reds) Coming off of Tommy John surgery.
                      J.B. Cox (Yankees)
Bradley Suttle (Yankees) I'm pretty sure Suttle is in most people's top 10 now, but I'm not positive. If he's not, he should be.
                      Joe Savery (Phillies)
                      Andrew Carignan (A's)
                      Jonah Nickerson (Tigers)
                      Cole Gillespie (Brewers)
Josh Horton (A's) I know I already mentioned him. I forgot to give you that scouting report that you asked about. I thought you might know by now if he's going to be added or not.

All of these players are still young, have a ton of talent and most of them were recently top 10 prospects in their organizations. I still classify them as top propects. If you want or need any information on any of these guys, let me know.

Sulbaran is a young guy, so he's really in the complete opposite position, besides Suttle, as the rest of the guys that I listed.

I'm not trying to pick on the people who ask about the top guys, but I hope you can see why I'm asking about these players.

I don't know if you guys have been following the accessories, stances, etc., but I have a running tab over here:

                        Here

It would be cool if you could incorporate these for the Major Leaguers when you make your rosters.

Good luck the rest of the way.

There is quite a good chance for all of those players...for a couple of reasons...
Some...are just deserving and are in the top spot for that position in the organization...such as Gillespie
Others like Thomas might make it because he is the top rated 2B prospect for the Cubs...but he's not that highly rated...and as I lose more B editable prospects...a guy like he would fit in(he will be a B if I have any left...but a C is still a MLB probable player according to SCEA)
Then you have a guy like Crowe...he might get lost in the shuffle. He is clearly a B rated prospect...but he has LaPorta, Weglarz and Brantley ahead of him. I can only squeeze so many guys in one position....
The only guy I have nothing on is Horton....I would need some info on him...

                              I understand.

I would PM you the following information, but my computer is being really slow.

Tony Thomas, in '08, was listed as the Cubs #9 prospect by Baseball America. He has plus speed, plus base running ability, slightly less than average fielding ability, average power for his size and as a second baseman and he has the ability to hit .300.

                              Tony Thomas' stats:

Here is a little more on Tony Thomas from Baseball America:
Drafted: Florida State, 2007 (3rd round)Signed by: Keith Stohr

Background: Thomas hit just .265 with 141 strikeouts in 137 games over his first two seasons at Florida State, prompting him to adopt a more open stance in 2007. The results were spectacular, as he batted .430 and led NCAA Division I in runs (91), doubles (33) and total bases (189). The Cubs didn't think they'd get him after passing on him in the sandwich round and were elated to grab him in the third round for $360,000.

Strengths: Thomas continued to hit in his pro debut and the consensus within the organization is that he has more pure batting ability than 2007 first-rounder Josh Vitters. He employs a level swing to make consistent line-drive contact to all swings. He's strong for his size and doesn't have to cheat to catch up to quality fastballs, which allows him to stay back on offspeed stuff. He has average speed and outstanding basestealing instincts, succeeding in 28 of his 30 pro attempts.

Weaknesses: Thomas isn't as instinctive at second base as he is at the plate or on the bases, and his defensive ceiling is average at best. He has adequate range and a fringy arm, and he doesn't read grounders well. There's not another good fit for him elsewhere on the diamond, but Chicago thinks roving infield instructor Bobby Dickerson will be able to help him out.

The Future: His bat is so advanced that Thomas will jump to high Class A Daytona. If he can make progress with his glove, he could reach Chicago by the end of 2009.

Then you have a guy like Crowe...he might get lost in the shuffle. He is clearly a B rated prospect...but he has LaPorta, Weglarz and Brantley ahead of him. I can only squeeze so many guys in one position
From what I've heard, when watching Indians preseason games, Trevor Crowe is likely to get a decent amount of time in the majors this season.

The only guy I have nothing on is Horton....I would need some info on him
As for Horton, he's not a great base runner, but he has above average speed for a third baseman (I would rate his speed a C+). He has great hands, above average range, a strong and above accurate arm, plus contact ability, plus plate discipline, plus plate coverage and below average power.

I have no idea whose batting stance he should have.

                              Here are some links:

http://www.thebaseballcube.com/playe...h-Horton.shtml (His speed isn't as bad this site lists.)

There is a very good chance that if Crowe doesn't break camp with the Indians, he'll be their next call up when they eventually dump Looch.
