    Re: Knight - classic teams

First of all, thanks so much for all your hard work Knight! I've read all 102 pages of this thread over the last few days and I finally picked up a copy of MLB the Show last night. You should get a commission!

I tried to download Bahnzo's updated rosters but I kept receiving a "corrupt file" message. I'm not familiar with .rar files though.

So I found a link to Knight's team and downloaded that. The version I downloaded has the '61 yanks. I thought someone requested the '77 yanks. Does anyone have a link to that roster set?

Also, the '62 Giants appear. Since they seem to fit more with the classic II roster, how about an '89 Giants roster--i know this was previously suggested-- (Clark, Thompson, Mitchell, Butler, Maldonado, Reuschel, Robinson, Lefferts, Bedrosian, Gossage) or even a '02 Giants (Kent, Aurilla, Bonds, Schmidt, Hernandez, Ortiz, Reuter, Nen). And keeping with the 70s 80s, and 90s theme, any thoughts on replacing the '63 Dodgers with the '81 Dodgers (Scioscia, Garvey, Lopes, Cey, Baker, Landreaux, Guerrero, Valenzuela, Reuss, Welch, Hooton) or even the '88 team with Scioscia, Stubbs, Sax, Gibson, Marshall, Hershiser, Leary, Belcher, Sutton, Valenzuela, and a young R. Martinez??

Again, thanks for all your hard work Knight!!

Here's a link to the roster set you have with the '61 Yankees replaced by the '78 Yankees. It's in the thread titled ClassicTeams II. HTH.

        Link for OLD TIME 1......http://www.sendspace.com/file/ueeizw

        Team added....'78 New York Yankees...

          Knight,

I've lost my way a bit in the first and second edition of your classic teams. I know some teams got moved/replaced.

Is there/will there be a set that incorporates only teams from the 50's, 60's and early 70's and a set that will have teams from the 80's through today? Is that the current structure of the Classic I and II sets as of now?

I'd love the first set to have the 61 Yanks and 63 Dodgers, but I think they were replaced with the 78 Yanks and 77 Dodgers. Ugh...did I request this? LOL...

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving...and stay safe.

Ok...so if second set has 78 Yanks and 77 Dodgers, which Yank and Dodger teams does first set have? 61 and 63?

I have to check out these rosters one of these days now that I realize how many hours Knight put into them.

Just picked up a PS3 and the Show.Transferring these roster files is as simple as drag and drop to a usb stick, right?

                      I have a FAT 32 formatted Kingston 1GB stick,so I am set,no?

A real quick and simple guide to this process would sure help.too

                        Re: Knight - classic teams

If you're still needing help with this, Millenium posted a how-to in the "Knight & Co" roster thread that's stickied at the top. The flash/thumb drive you have should work great. HTH!

How to load the rosters using a USB Flashdrive:

Unzip the zipped file onto your desktop. You will see ONE PS3 folder.

Put your thumbdrive into your USB port of your PC. Open your thumbdrive (window).

Drag the PS3 folder (as is, don't mess with it) onto your thumbdrive.

Put the thumbdrive into the USB of your PS3.

Do not start the game, instead look at your dashboard and find the SAVE DATA UTILITY icon.

                        Press X.

Now look for your USB device icon.

                        Hit X.

                        You will see Knight's roster.

                        Hit TRIANGLE, not X.

                        You will see COPY.

Hit X and it will ask you if you want to copy it to your hard drive.

                        Yes and press X.

It's now on your hard drive.

                        Start the game.

Go to LOAD.....load the roster and you're off to the races.

Ha...yeah....it's been a bit killer for me the last several weeks.
I've got a few days this week....so I'll try and take the Classic I set and put the Reds in there for tomorrow night.

Then I'll get back to the other two sets.

gtm....I've got about 8 teams(maybe nine) done on your set.
                            You still playing?!

FYI: I picked those teams and years because I didn't want a player, playing on multible teams.
