    Re: Knight - classic teams

Hey, Knight. Didn't get any game time last night. Should be able to play some tonight and also copy those pics onto my flash drive. Once the complete roster sets is complete, I'm sure I'll be in for some late nights as I usually don't play any until after everyone goes to bed.

Artdog, as Motown said, you need to unzip the file when you download it. Then copy the folder titled PS3 onto your flash/thumb drive.

      Re: Knight - classic teams

I think you guys are right and wrong with they type of rosters that I believe is going with. Yeah it would be fun to play the 99 Rays let's say the 68 Tigers....but will all know how that is going to end.....In my opinion Please correct me if I am wrong...that the rosters should be the best team that organization has produced. Yes it would be fun to play the 99 Rays but the 08 Rays were a way better team henze going to the WS...That is the feel I am getting and I would love that cause as a Braves fan, I would go with a Mid-80 or 81 team..Not with the team 90's cause they are too new....But the Best Braves team was 95 cause that is the year we won the WS...how about the Mariners, same thing...would everyone would like to play the late 90's Mariners with Jr and A-rod..well yeah...but the 01 Mariners where their best team and niether where on that team...So it all depends what you want into this game and I believe that Knight is going in the right direction with this. I am not saying at all not to post or anything cause its good to see what everyone's fan Team and year to be....

I am just putting my opinion out there mainly cause I am bored and just wanted to say something...LOL...no really I like coming to this post and see what everyone is going to say and I just hope that Knight will be done with the rosters by July cause I head out to sea then..(Navy) and I won't be back until October I would love to take these roster underway with me.. You are doing great work Knight keep it up...

        Re: Knight - classic teams

I believe that Knight typically uses a solid team that he feels the majority of the people would find exciting to play with. Sometimes it's the franchise's best team, sometimes it's just a team with players whom people have fond memories of. Although I offer my opinion on some teams, I'm good with about any historical team when it really comes down to it. Knight does these every year so sometimes he mixes it up a little bit, which I totally understand someone would need to do to keep from being so repetitive.

Good luck in the Navy, tonyfire. I appreciate all you and every other service man/woman do.

            We're getting there!

            12 down....18 to go.

Okay....This one has the '95 Bravos and the '89 Athletics added.
I have to fix some numbers on the A's.....(and some other teams now)
I'll take any and all suggestions!(as usual) and I really welcome the feedback.

I have to use my first post to say thanks for everything everyone does.

I could not be more excited to use the 2001 Arizona Diamondbacks. Using Schilling and Randy will be amazing.

I read all 28 pages of this thread hoping you would do the 2001 D-Backs. haha. When RazR asked for the 2001 team i knew it would happen. haha..

              Thanks again.

Great! Can't wait to try out the Braves and A's.

As far as the Rockies, please give us the '97 team!! I am OK with putting a Negro League team in place of the Rays, but please give us a Rockies team with Walker, Galarraga, Castilla, and Bichette!

If you are going to do a Negro League team, I think a great choice would be the 1935 Pittsburgh Crawfords (5 HOF'ers - Cool Papa Bell, Oscar Charleston, Josh Gibson, Judy Johnson, and Satchel Paige).

                Keep up the great work!!

Just checked out the A's! Great work once again!

                  A few suggested stances:

Jose Canseco - Rocco Baldelli (perfect!)
Mark McGwire - David Eckstein (bat waggle isn't quite right, but the stance itself is the closest there is)
                  Carney Lansford - Lew Ford

Was going to recommend Ortiz for Dave Parker, but you already have it. Have to say you really nailed the Cobra! One of your best likenesses yet!!

                    Sounds good.
                    Thanks!
I will make the '97 Rockies.....maybe a Negro League team for the Rays only.

I was using the '95 Braves and the '89 A's. I played parts of three games and then a full game.
For those who plan on using these for season play(I always do).....if you don't use the Braves....you'll have a tough series playing against them(obviously)....and although his W-L record wasn't unbelievable......his stats were unreal. Maddux....23 walks then ENTIRE season!...sub 2.00 ERA in the middle of the "era". Impressive.

Sweet, Knight, looking forward to using these two teams as well. Ledfut, good job on the stance recommendations. Keep them coming!

As far as likenesses are concerned, has anyone loaded up the Twins and checked out Steve Bedrosian? Check this out.

                        George Brett driving one that...

                        Puckett ran down.

Willie Wilson rounding 1st on his way to a standup double.
