No I didn't see your picks...I went through all the teams I thought that had a great season and just didn't make it or got over shadowed by a team from a different year. Especially the teams from the early 80's and 70's cause the guys that play this game where in their diapers during that time...no offence to you guys but when you have old schooler games like myself that grew up on Pong and the old Commendor then your going back in time...

Hey Knight. I vote for all time greats over the history of each franchise.

Question: How are you determining the age of the players you create? I'd like to do a franchise with each teams all time players playing together. Pujols with Bob Gibson, Ozzie Smith, Dizzy Dean, etc.

Also, are you still going to put the top prospects that you've created from today in say the AA minors team. I know you won't be able to do a ton of them because of the create a player limits but say top 25 or so like C. Rasmus, etc.?

Thanks and sorry for all of the questions.

Nah....this is strictly a classic team/all time great project.

With the classic teams....it's easy...the age is the age of the player in that particular year.
...I think I'll go with a particular season for each player in the all time great set....so I'll just use his age for the year I'm representing.

If I double any teams...it will be the Mets and Yankees.(not in the same set)

Good chance for a secondary set that will feature the '69 team and a different Yankee team.

On that note...I have finished the '86 Mets and the '61 Yankees.
I've played two manage only games with them so far.
The first.....2 homers by Roger Maris...and another by Mantle against Gooden as I got crushed 9-1. Skowron, Berra and Howard all had RBI's also.
In game two...which is now in the 7th inning, Whitey Ford is no-hitting my '86 squad.....un' friggin' believable ...

Awesome...but I wish they wouldn't have fixed the retired number work around. It works in exhibition games...but once you go into a season...it give the guys different numbers.

Ha....and of all guys on the '86 Mets....in the eighth inning RAFAEL SANTANA hits a double down the line of Ford to end the no hitter.

How far back are you going with these teams? I'd definitely like to see some of the older teams like the 1927 Yankees and the Cardinals of the 1930s represented. The modern teams are nice, but you really want to see the older ones in there too.

                      Knight,

First thank you for all your work creating the full minors rosters.

I know there is alot of interest in the 1984 Tigers, though my personal preference would be for the 1968 Tigers. The team not only won the World Series beating Bob Gibson and the Cardinals, but had a 31 game winner in McLain, Al Kaline, Gates Brown the super PH and a power hitting pitcher in Earl Wilson.

                      Thanks,

                      Karle

                        Both.
I'm creating them on my non patched machine, so that everyone can use them.

I don't know how far I'm going back. I'm taking the suggestions and going from there.

                        Karle..
I love the 68 Cards.....I think I did '84 last year......I might just go with that.

Last night I also created Steve Rogers and the starting lineup for the '81 Expos. It was a blast playing against The Hawk, The Rock...Tim Wallach. A little weird when My '86 Gary Carter came up to bat with his twin '81 Gary Carter behind the plate!
Playing in CitiField with the classic Expo baby blue unis and those red, white and blue helmets with those guys was pretty cool.

67 Cards and 68 Tigers would be awesome.

I love the 1960's to about 1979 for oldtime teams. Glory days. Especially the 60's. I am biased since I grew up then, and that's why I am hoping Knight does some Era based teams. 1960's-1970's, 1980's-today, maybe even the 1920's-1940 (pre-war). Alot to look forward to!

Yeah...for the life of me I can't figure out why they did this...unless it is an MLB directive. However, they screwed it up anyway because I have seen the Yankee first base coach wearing #9 in the game (retired for Maris).
