      Loving these rosters...

The moustaches on everybody is pretty funny...

Totally forgot about Nick Esasky. Free-agent year for the Red Sox, and he hit 30 HR's with 108 RBI.

Now, I would never accuse anyone of chemical shenanigans, but he doubled his HR total from the previous year, and almost doubled his RBI numbers...

He made $570,000 his FA walk year, and then with those huge numbers, he rang the bell and Atlanta paid him $1.3mil for 1990.

They got 35 at bats out of him before he ended up with vertigo so bad, his career was over.

Nine games with a fat new contract, and that was it.

Great job with the rosters, I love the old school unis, and the Yankee SS Espinosa with the shop-glasses specs and the porno stache!!

Hrbek is a beast so far in this game. I'm playing as the Royals. Just started the 2nd series vs. the Twins and he hits everything hard. Need to keep the guys ahead of him off base and pitch around him.

I'm getting used to the 'retired' numbers changes. I have George Brett wearing 9 ( He and Graig Nettles reminded me of each other anyway) and Frank White is # 25.

Yeah Hrbek had some pretty big numbers despite missing some time. He hit a few bombs off me in my season as well. If you're using the Royals be sure to turn Stillwell's power down a bit, he hit something 16 or 19 HR's in my season, not very lifelike. Everyone else looked pretty good though.

Im guessing these rosters are on the show 10 based on the dates of the posts... any chance they will be on the show 11?

Yeah, they are from last year. There's all kinds of new projects going on now, not sure if I'll have the time to make them for '11. Another guy on here is thinking about putting an '87 season together on here though.

                  Re: 1989 Complete Rosters

I posted the 87 roster in the Vault. I have been working on it the long way. I have been taking a base set editing the players with Potential close to what 87 players were and then exporting each player and then importing them into a master 1987 set that is in the Vault. KBunny26. It is listed as 1987 WIP as a HISTORIC set. People have been downloading them and I have been deleting and updating the set daily.

I need help, and so far I only have the Tigers and Reds done, Pirates almost done and stars such as Gwynn, N Ryan, and about 20 more at correct age and potential reflecting the 1987 season. To decide Potential I used A for HOF and perennial all-stars, B for players that were 1or 2 time all stars and C for the rest of the players in the league.

The hardest part is that it is time consuming, and I have no idea on correct pitch types, plus faces are difficult.

Check it out and if you want to help shoot me a pm. I was thinking if you picked a team, make the team on your own roster then you could upload the roster and I could import the players into my master file.

Picked up 10 today at Gamestop to download these rosters. Game plays well not as good as 11 and 12 but nice. Miss the custom camera options in the newer editions but well worth the 5 bucks.

Hey guys, just wanted to let anyone who's interested what my plans were. I've got two kids now, and my free time's almost non existent. I got '13 but haven't been able to spend much time with it yet. (the guess pitch is pretty annoying, but I guess I'll get used to it.) I'm planning on doing a 1988 roster set this year, but it probably won't be done for while. If anyone wants me to post any CAPS to the vault I'm sure I can oblige, but I won't be able to crank them out like last year.

Jemeyers is working on a 1987 set, I too like you have been working 12 hours and recently married. I already copied your Bo Jackson from last year almost verbatim. If you want me to upload it and give you credit let me know. Maybe we could work on one as a community. 1989 would be great. I think he is leaning towards 1987 because we already have the info

I can post the spreadsheet up of all of the players I'm going to make for '88. If you or anyone wants to snag them for '87, I'm fine for that. I've been trying to get some game time, but haven't been able to find much time yet. '87 was a much more exciting year for the casual fan, and I know a lot of people enjoyed his set, so i don't want to mess with that. I'm making '88 more just for me, cause that was the first year I started watching baseball. I've made nearly all of the players I need in the past, it's more just a matter of finding time to make them now

I already copied over my Bo, but I haven't uploaded anything to the vault, feel free to post it if you like.

Just giving an update to any 30 something year olds out there interested. The roster is coming along nicely, I'm on spring break now and should get a lot done towards this, this week. Still in the process of transferring over players from years past into '13, and updating certain guys faces. Taking some breaks to actually play some games this year, gameplay seems nicely improved this year.

Truth be told. I really love playing classic rosters far more than current day.

I am so looking forward to playing your 88 set as well as the 87 and 84 coming out.

I will take on the Dodgers and see if I can recreate one of my all time favorite seasons of baseball. That was a special Dodger team. A true David vs Goliath against the mighty and seemingly unbeatable Oakland A's.

I remember being really excited for a Mets-A's Series that year. My first baseball glove was a Kevin McReynolds model, so NY was my NL team, and the A's were my favorite team. Then LA knocked out the Mets, an then Gibson hit the epic bomb. Pretty crazy postseason that year.
