Re: OS All-Time Classic Roster (The Show '12)

I'm sorryi If I'm being the "bad apple" here. From my point of the view, the spreadsheet we were using hadn't been updated since everything that I had done about two months ago. Since nothing was being done here, I decided to do it myself. I'm sorry if people are feeling manipulated, deceived and whatever else, none of that was intended. I'll let you guys finish this and I won't pot my stuff online anymore. Best of luck guys.

there just want any communication going on w/ what was being done, its about that simple.

i know i was putting the effort into posting in this thread w/ every player i was making along w/ a screenshot

other then that though, i also had(have) no idea what was going on.

can you send either bedwardsroy or myself (or post it in the vault so either of us can download it) the master file when you have finished what you're working so we can finish the 40 man roster

personally, I still want to and will work on the full 40 man roster.

I'll just keep it to myself and the others working on it, it's already caused too much drama. Just finish what Bedwards has.

            wow.

well, if that isn't just the perfect example of a child getting upset and taking his toys home so no one else can play with them then I don't know what else is.

If everyone agrees that communication was the problem, then everyone just step back and get that worked out. Its a major problem that can be fixed very easily. Once the mode of communication is settled you can move forward on the project and it the process will go smoothly.

              It can be done.

Re: OS All-Time Classic Roster (The Show '12)

All I did was collect everything that has been put into the vault the last few months. I had been checking the "master list" often and saw that nothing was changing. For those of you that followed what mainly Bedwards and I did last year (with a couple others), we spent a ton of time doing 90 teams, and by the end we didn't finish it, it was really frustrating. I wanted to have a playable roster within the next month or so.

I decided to collect everything myself, and put them onto what I last put into the vault. I've got all of Scooters guys (on the list), Subimes, Hoser's and so on. I found a lot of guys in the vault that had the players name/height, but the face was generic, so I did create those. If I already had a solid player X, I didn't add player X made by Sublime or whoever. I then gave them their correct stance, gave them proper attributes and so on. For the most part I didn't touch players faces if they looked fine.

I'm all for finishing a 40 man set, if Sublime or whoever wants to be the one posting into the vault I have no problem with that. If it's hurting peoples feelings that I'm doing extra work on this, I'll just drop out

I hope you guys can get together by PM and work this stuff out. I know there are a lot of people really looking forward to this project. Communication seems to have been the culprit here so open the communication up and see if it can be resolved. You guys do amazing work and I would hate to see it not get finished.

PJ, I did basically the same thing you did and am making a lot of progress. I'm interested in your work in whatever form you have it if you're willing to post your latest version to the vault. I'm more than happy to share my roster file with you or anyone else that is interested and you can use whatever you'd like from my roster as well.

I'm not all that interested in copyrighting my work. If others can use it then great. If not, that's fine too. I'm really just interested in getting a decent historic roster of each franchise's top players in a quick, yet reasonable, amount of time.

if this is going to get done we need to make a concrete plan about how to finish and put ego's aside. the bickering needs to just end now.

the issue isnt feelings, its just a general lack of communication from everyone and no real plan.

could care less about credits or anything in that regard, just would like the file out there and complete.

we just need to get solid commitments from whoever wants to be involved going forward and have one person assign teams to the cap makers and just go from there and hopefully everyone will come through.

So, we can do it this way, if everyone is fine w/ this plan

Whoever has the Master File, and whatever versions of the Master File are out there, needs to make it available via the vault or sendspace or Google Drive or whatever so it can be shared w/ the rest of the roster makers

we need a list of who is still going to be involved in the completion of this roster

there are a few of us out there but we need hard commitments from those who are willing, and as of Now I am officially in for the long haul, who else is going to participate? (PM me) I have already PM'd a few people but I haven't heard back yet.

Rather then have roster/cap makers sign up for teams, at this point that would be too hectic, anyone who commits will be assigned a team (or teams) depending on how many people we get to commit.

There will be set deadlines assigned to each person working on this from here on out, if the person cannot complete the set they were assigned then we will continue with what they were able to finish and whatever was not finished will be added on later.
