Minor error in the Cardinals roster, Ozzie Smith is supposed to be a switch hitter. I was facing Ron Guidry today and found out that Ozzie Smith wasn't batting right handed.

Other than that and some minor roster moves (Torii Hunter), this is the best all time roster set to date.

Bucky #@$#@ Dent!!! Thanks so much to you Scooter and pjsnell10 for being patient with me. Now Elston Howard looks great with his #32 and work on the 61 Yankees can process.

Even though I can't stand what the Yankees are today, the 1961 team is one of my favorite all time teams. Read a book about them in 7th grade and got hooked after that. Good luck with roster. I made them last year and they were pretty dominant.

Got it to work. You will have to be on-line, which means latest patch.

Go to League -> Create League

There are a lot of parameters here, so play around with it. You can set the number of teams, number of games played, how long the league should last, etc. Remember, this is technically an on-line league, so you'll have to play around with it a bit to get the schedule and playoff length you want. You can set the number of divisions, teams, etc.

Next you will set all the league rules and sliders. One thing to note here is that this is an on-line league, so set everything how you want it. You'll technically be the commissioner of the league, so you can make changes later, but not during games. So make sure you set your sliders.

Next (I believe it is the next step), you'll set your team. This is the team you'll be in the league.

There are more options you can set, then you'll set the other teams in the league. Select the other teams (make sure you had loaded the roster you wanted first. If not, and that roster is in the vault, it'll give you an option to download it then anyway). The important part here is after choosing the teams you want to be in the league, set all the other teams to CPU.

A schedule should then generate and you can then play. Again, it'll look a bit different since it is technically an on-line league. You probably won't be able to save mid game, and there may be some parameters on when your games need to be finished, so play around with those settings.

Finally, if you want to change teams, there is a screen where you can change the team associations. If it's just you in the league, you can just move your username to the team you want to play as and go from there.

Let me know if you have any questions. I didn't have time to do a step by step with screenshots, but it is really pretty easy. I just fumbled through it for 15 minutes and had a 16 team two division league set up.

These are the ones that I use > http://www.operationsports.com/forum...one-meter.html as I generated them myself.

I just played the first game of my season with these and lost 1-0 to the Tigers. I was outhit 8-4 and hit some balls hard but right at people. Clemens and Bunning were locked in a scoreless duel until the triple by Gibson in the 6th. Here are the video highlights > http://youtu.be/StDfTSIHK0g

I want to play out an entire season so I'm sure it'll take me all through the winter and next spring to get through it. I'll see how it goes. Simply terrific!!!
Pitching, defense and 2 out RBIs win a lot of ball games!

Great to know! I am going to try to take a stab at a 1960's league with the following teams:

                64 Yanks
                68 Tigers
                69 Orioles
                65 Twins
                67 Red Sox
                65 White Sox
                69 A's
                65 Indians
                67 Angels
                69 Senators

                69 Mets
                64 Braves
                67 Reds
                67 Cards
                66 Pirates
                67 Cubs
                65 Dodgers
                62 Giants
                64 Phils
                69 Astros

Not necessarily the best teams for each franchise during that era, but some of my favorites. Gonna take a while, but would love to use some of the players you guys have already created. All assistance appreciated!

                      Questions-
after I choose the original 16 teams then I would set all the expansion teams that I'm not using to CPU?

After you get this programed how easy can you access it each time you want to continue your season?

                      Thank You!

The way it works is that first you choose the number of teams you want. So in your case 16. You have to choose a user controlled team to start with. That'll be the main team you play through (but don't worry, you can change it if you don't want to just be one team).

Once you choose the 16 teams you want, one team will be assigned to your username. Say for example you choose the Yankees. Then, the other 15 teams in the league get assigned to CPU. Normally this would be where you assigned other users for on-line, but since you would be using this off-line, you set the other teams to CPU. Does that make sense? Hard to explain, but easy when you look at it.

It is just as easy to access as any other franchise once it is up and running. I play around a bit more this weekend to see if I find any shortcuts. But once it is up and running you would just go to league and play your game.

If you decide you want to play a season game as another team, just go to the setup menu and move your team to control another team (say the Red Sox) and then play their next game. Then you can move back to the Yankees to play that game. You can simulate all of the CPU vs. CPU games you don't want to play.

That I'm not sure. I don't think so, but there are so many options it may be in there.

Thanks again jscand, this is a huge!

For anyone interested, I've posted the four teams that made the playoffs from 1988 into the vault (Oak, LA, NYM, Bos) I may do a few more from 88, not sure yet.
