Perfectly fine and understandable. Dealing with the Rookie status on players is part of it and something I've gotten used to before.

Because of this, I'm assuming that there was no way to get real, lengthy contracts with the workaround? If not, I'll probably 30 team control just so I can sign some of the star players after the first year to longer contracts as a way of a workaround

Nope... No lengthy contracts until they get enough service time that they would get decent contracts in franchise.

I like your idea-I will most likely do that as well.

Just so you know this is my plan for version #2. A version with service time and contracts..So we get the first release down for the public and etc and I will be getting the contracts and service time done over time. I just plan to have them ready when I can..no time line..but it would be for the benefit for long term carry over

Absolutely. Hopefully you and me doing the minors now can help speed up the process.

I don't know if we're the only ones working on the minors, but if that's what both of us are working on at the moment, pm me and maybe we can get a plan going to be more efficient and not be creating very similar players. Don't know how how we'd do it, but maybe we can give it a shot.

I can't imagine you'd run into any problems with that... If there was an issue I would make sure to let you guys know so it could get straightened out. Farmer joe you're doing great creating a mix as you are now, I'm throwing a few of your guys in the majors as well.

I'm also very excited for the top prospects, sounds like a good plan!

I'm doing my best to make the top prospects the way they are irl. Top prospects usually have several above average tools that help make them perennial All-Stars. My B-level prospects will usually either be really balanced, all around players or will have a few things that make them really special (speed and defense, etc).

If we make similar players, it would likely be my mid-B level guys and down, where they look to become more of the above average type players.

EDIT: Would also like to thank MLB Bob, pitchers spreadsheet looks really nice and balanced.

I'm terrible about keeping up with the forum. Just wondering the projected release date of this fictional roster? If not known, that's okay. Was just checking in and realized I was behind quite a bit.

I've never used a fictional roster. But I was thinking. I might use the OSFM roster for RTTS and a fictional one for franchise.
