    Re: [Release] !994 Set

How about sending those players on other teams, editing them there and then send them back to their proper team?

Anyway, Betterai, your file is up. "Fixed YOS Betterai" under my usual username.

For everyone else, there isn't really that much of a reason to get this... you'd get fixed YOS on the NL Central teams but not on the NL East teams, even though you'd get a good amount of Atlanta Braves face and equipment... you get Rays & Backs fixed... 4 new players... don't bother, just wait for version 2.

I've played 5 games with different teams each time and have had a blast. Thanks again for the hard work!

Is there any way to use the Expos uniforms? Can they be purchased?

Don't think so, shame really. But there's one of the Nationals uniforms that is similar to one the Expos had in their later years.

Just realized that the game autosaves when you start a franchise. I simmed a bunch of franchises since I started this. I had a TON of saved franchises on my PS3.

Re: Porting Knight's 1994 set to MLB 14

So I just tested a fix for the shoe edit issue.

Just trade the player to another team that allows shoe edits, fix the shoes and trade him back to his original team. The edit will stick.

I just redid the face & equipment of Fernando Valenzuela, and his shoe editing is locked. I traded him to Tampa Bay, made his shoes green, and traded him back to Philadelphia and they're still green.

              So that's your fix!

I've now fixed the YOS for the NL East players that needed it. I'm importing in Betterai's work and then will copy and redo the faces and equipment of the 30 or so players who needed a YOS fix. The copying down process isn't so complicated, all the face variables are either x,y coordinates or % of meter filled. Equipment is the usual shorthand stuff. Then, it's back to hunting players who spent 1994 injured.

Considering all the non-sexy but very important work that I've put in this version, I'm thinking of releasing v2 when I've got 50 players created for this one, and then do a new release every 100 new players.

Im a little behind on whats going on with this roster, been working on the hybrids so excuse my idiocy! So far tho I think you have got all players on all the teams right? Now just updating small things, faces, equipment, etc? How about the minor leaguers, how is that coming, and what time frame are you looking at? Later in June at earliest I would guess?? Thanks Phil, this is just awesome!

In the version that is up, you have every player that played at least one game in the majors in 1994, plus a handful of token prospects and free agents I created to test things out (and here they are: Vladimir Guerrero, Geoff Blum, Gary Carter, George Brett & Brendan Donnelly). Altogether, that's 997 players.

They do not have fully morphed faces, but I've done enough of the graphical work already that they sort of look like themselves. BUT, the full morphs are being done by Betterai and as a matter of fact in my WIP copy, I now have fully morphed faces for every player in the NL East except 27 of them who I need to redo because I had to change their base because their YOS was wrong.

Equipement, on the version that is up, is genericized so it sort of fits good for everyone and doesn't have anything that stands out. But in my WIP copy, all NL East guys (Except those 27) now have their correct equipment.

Eventually, I want every player in the game to have their face morph and equipment.

Doing those 27 NL East players is my priority. Then fixing all numbers, scaling all the Potential ratings so that they are more varied and then adding around 50 players (Mostly players who missed the season with injuries, like Ron Gant, Chipper Jones and Donovan Osborne), and then releasing version 2. Late June sounds good, I'll try to get it out before that.

I'd love to do full 90-men rosters, hell of a project though. But once I'll only be creating players I'm guessing things will go faster.

Hey Phil, would it be possible for you to attach v1 of your roster here? Unfortunately I don't have a way to get on PSN and I would really love to give these a go.

Also thank you for your awesome work man, this is fantastic.

                      Sure thing, here it is!

You know what, I'm not even sure this is the right file. If this only has NL East players changed to 1994, tell me! It should have the full MLB in there. Maybe you even got lucky and I zipped up my WIP file, who knows!

Phil, would it be okay to use your initial V1 release for a project I'm working on? I'd release it with your name in the credits, of course.

Wow, nice project! Looking forward to seeing the Expos in it! Rookie Gary Carter!

I'm taking a break from making faces for those that I have to redo in the NL East and I'm creating players right now.

If you want to see what I have done, go to the spreadsheet and check the Players Added tab. I list all the players with their current OV and Potential. If anyone thinks the Potentials are wrong, just tell me.
