Yeah. Really I could release now, Texas is done. I'm fixing things right now. I'll be releasing what I have at midnight ET.

        Things I want to fix...

        - Check for duplicate players (Found Milt Hill would have been in twice, on ATL and SEA... another player would have been on twice on the same team as a pitcher and a fielder)
        - Fix YOS on NL East teams' players. When I get Betterai's guys, I will redo the faces/equipment myself to account for this.
        - Check all jersey numbers.
        - Fix/scale all potentials to be more than 90-80-70-60.
        - Help Betterai a little: Port all the equipment so he has only the faces to do. It's one screen, some of it is already done, and some of it rarely changes from player to player.
        - Nerf the players on Arizona and Tampa some more so that they tend to let go of them faster to get real players. Thinking about making all their ages like 40 so that they retire.

Won't do all this tonight of course.

And then, I'll start adding players in...

Re: Porting Knight's 1994 set to MLB 14

OS94 MLB Full v1 is up in the Vault.

The statistical port of Knight's 1994 mod from MLB 12 is now COMPLETE!

Graphical port is ongoing, but playability-wise, it's done.

Now, I'm starting the MiLB expansion of it and fixing things as I go along.

            Thanks for your support!

EDIT: Good news on the nerfing Tampa/Arizona front... I think players aged 45 retire automatically after one season in Franchise so... I made all their SPs and 2Bs into 45 year olds and lo and behold, the next year they had hired players to fill those gaps, 4 real 2Bs amongst others. So in season 2 the teams will pretty much come in as expansion teams, filled with the scrubs nobody else wanted. Also solving the problem of what to do with those 180 rosters spots.

My main problem right now is that the free agent list is a blind spot in Season 1: Nobody hires from it and they all retire after the season, including a decent prospect like Donnelly. Bummer.

All draft picks from every team are fully editable in franchise though, so that means DRAFT CLASSES for those who are patient enough to input them manually.

Sure! Right now as a matter of fact.

I'm doing various things to improve on it. Just finished nerfing down Arizona and Tampa so when playing franchise, their rosters will have real players more quickly.

This is going to be awesome! I'm so glad that these can carry over as a file to the rest of the mlb the show games too!

Re: Porting Knight's 1994 set to MLB 14

So great news, the whole problem with the file and the Rays/Diamondbacks and the free agents list is solved.

Both teams are dressing FULL lineups of real players in year 2 after all their generic players retired after year 1. Arizona even managed to sign Will Clark!

The rosters are very expansion-y: Has beens, never-weres and borderline prospects.

The retirement of 180+ players in one fell swoop had the unintended but very positive effect of making the free agent market a lot better meaning that year 1 free agents no longer retire due to the poor free agent market IF they aren't very old. There are 3 real free agents by default on the roster (G.Carter, G.Brett & B. Donnelly) and Donnelly didn't retire, and then Tampa signed him. Frankly, I'm surprised how good the game reacted to basically being handed two empty teams to fill.

                      OS94 NL East under: DJRhudeRT3

quick note: It wouldn't let me edit the show colors for most of the players on the Phillies.....most of the options were grayed out, not sure why......just wanted you to be aware of that

                        Wow, thanks man, good work!

                        I'll import them in now.

I'll also look into that issue with the Phillies.

I'll need to redo some of them since I have to change their years of service base. Before starting on NL Central, let me go through those teams and redo the players on there that need changing so that I don't have to redo your work later. I'll do it first thing tomorrow and post the updated file for you to use. It's only 17 NL Central guys I need to redo, all pitchers.

In other news, research for players who were injured through 94 is going good, I've found and removed another duplicate (Dwight Smith removed from CAL) and have 4 new players in. I've made new sheets on the spreadsheet so people can follow who is put in.

What would be sick is if you filled in all the generic players with prospects and career minor leaguers from back then like with the Yankees have a young Rivera and Jeter waiting in the wings .. I know it would be time consuming and a lot of research but have you thought of taking that far? If so I would be willing to help you with them. And these rosters looks sick especially Barry bonds, loved playing a game with him! Wow amazing . Great job sir

Regarding the shoe colors, there's a known problem where you can't edit some of the team's colors on the shoes. Nothing can be done about it on our end.
