Yes I good get good results on veteran. I moved down after struggling with all star. Piece of advice. Move down, the game can be frustrating and you will only start pressing if you are playing on a level too hard. Move down to vet and enjoy some success.

I've played many games with the factory default sliders...these (version 1.3) are far superior. You're better off just using these from the start.

First game of my Royals franchise with v1.3 sliders was a landslide. Didn't really like having this many hits against a #1 starter on opening day. lol. I was hoping these would be challenging. Buehrle didn't last past the 4th inning. Here's the box:

          KC 14 21 1
          CHI 2 8 1

My pitching line was pretty decent. I had two homers and too many doubles. 4 doubles after 4 innings. Almost had 2 more homers. It seemed like the outfielders for chicago didn't line up deep enough for a couple of the doubles. Also, it seemed like I would get hits down the 3rd base line that would realistically been turned for an out. I had 2 or 3 of those.

          Meche 9.0 inn 98 pitches 8 hits 5 so 1 walk

I'll try the rest of the series. Hopefully the CPU becomes challenging. 20 hits a game isn't realistic. Other than that, love the sliders.

Just one game my friend. I had a 14-2 win the other day myself (Angels @ Baltimore), and the next game I played I lost 2-1 to the Nationals against a no-name pitcher.

I seem to be having better games with pitcher confidence off, but then again it just might be me.

Do you use power swing with these sliders?

                  Sometimes, rarely though, user preference.

awill, come back after 20/30 games with an evaluation, lets not fall into the trap of passing judgement after one game, my last three games have been 9-7, 4-1 and 3-2, sometimes i hit the cover off the ball sometimes i just get shut down. To expect "perfection" (whatever that is) based on one game is utter madness

I'm still waiting.. I think it's the pitching I suck at.. The CPU hammers me most of the time and they always get the lead before me... I think my only win came with Wakefield pitching..

I'm using meter pitching with catcher calling the pitches.
My pitching was really suffering as well but you need to stop calling what the catcher wants you to call and start calling your own game. Ever since I made this change Ive really started pitching almost too good and when I was letting the catcher call it for me I was finding that they were hell bent on challenging the CPU up in the zone a lot which is a recipe for disaster, give it a shot and see if it works out better for you as well.

Thanks for the tip.. I will try it with catcher calling off..

i have played only 4 games, but i am happy with my sliders.

my team is hitting around .240 with around a 3.20 ERA.

Hey PsychoBulk I'm just wondering what your hitting as a team ??

I know your an exclusive "swing only" guy like me which means that you mostly rely on good timing and pitch location to get your hits and I have noticed in my 28 game test season so far with the last 18 of them using your sliders that I'm only hitting .248 as a team

Just wondering if others are also getting low team batting averages..Or is it's just because were getting limitations from using swing only ??

I admit I don't walk much and have off and on patience and swing at a lot of bad balls at times so I can't use myself as an example..LOL

These are the changes I have made:

                              Control 4
                              Consistency: 4
                              Strike %: 1
                              Fielder Reaction:8

.298 but ive only played 9 games in my franchise so far having only started last week.

Joint top of MLB in doubles with 21, 2 triples and 6 bombs, also 26 walks, middle of the league.

All looking just great for me mate, and the average will obviously start to go down over time, naturally.
