How are these without the left stick hitting? I only use the button...rely on timing/contact.

I've been hitting HRs and doubles, so everything on the human hitting side and cpu pitching side looks pretty realistic.

I think human pitching or cpu hitting is a bit off -- I shutout the Mets with Andrew Miller... he K'ed 10 and only walked three while holding them to TWO hits.
Hmm.. do you use classic or meter?

Yeah, I wouldn't use these sets then.

This was gonna be my question too Ballin' will have to play more to see if there is really anything to it.

I use meter, just like you recommend. I'm using the "hard" preset exactly as you have it... maybe I'm just really good at pitching? I might have to try to mix up some of the hard and very hard settings, perhaps bump the cpu hitting and human pitching up to very hard.

Try lowering user control and cons. Might be the problem. LOL You might just be good in pitching.

Is anyone else trying these out? Anyone noticing high strikeouts by the cpu and really slow swings by the user on breaking/offspeed stuff?

I think that may be the problem. Because when I made these sliders, ai comeback was ON. So dolfan, try a game with comeback on and tell me your results.

Don't think comeback ai has anything to do with it. I had a slugfest as the Yanks against the O's that was back and forth the whole game and they wound up goin back to back to back on me in the 8th inning. I lost 10-6.

This could just be swinging too early....I am truly horrible at hitting offspeed pitches right now.......lol.

What has been your starters average pitch counts??

Also, try comeback on for at least 2 or 3 games, as I've read that it may allow sliders to fully take full affect.

I just threw a complete game shutout w/Burnett (110 pitches). I can usually get to 90-100 before my pitchers start to get smacked around. Do you happen to remember where you read about the comeback on/slider effect? If you could link the thread I'd like to check it out. Other than that these work great for me and I think I will be running with these for my franchise.

Doesn't lowering CPU Control just mean more pitches ("mistakes") down the middle?

That's what I've been seeing, and that's how it was explained to me by Brian of SCEA
