I'm having a lot more fun with these. The hitting is much more realistic - and you still get punished for stupid mistakes. Deep counts are gold. Also, if you are not one who uses the left analog - these work decent, but I would recommend testing them.

I'm a newbie to this game, so I'm still struggling with my Royals (1-12, reporting in the Dynasty HQ section).

Ok, I'm gonna get started now, but I have a question. You don't have the manager hook and Pickoffs sliders listed, so I am leaving them at 5 for now.

Im about to try these and I was wondering if anyne had any variety in scores? It seems every game I play is decided by two runs. Any user blowouts?

Just downloaded these this morning. Ok, the only thing I changed was keeping my franchise at Veteran mode...
              Soo, Pittsburgh vs. Cleveland (me)......

8 hits each side, final score 5-4 Pitt, won on a bottom of the ninth single.

Here's the thing though that stands out to me: CPU issued two walks, including one to load up the bases. Me, I surrendered two myself. Before, maybe one walk total per game, mainly by me. CPU always seemed to hit their spots after the count became 3-0.

What this means, I'm guessing, is that both the CPU and me were ALOT more patient at the plate.

Hits, well, mostly singles as always, but one HR each. And one triple by the CPU, after that mysterious glitch where the outfielder runs into the wall and "dances" before finally picking up the ball and throwing it in. (This was posted on Youtube before)
              Not the sliders' fault.....

A well played game. I was up 3-1 after a three run HR off the foulpole. Then Pitt scored on a two run shot to tie it up. Then an RBI single by me, then them, to tie it again at 4-4. Then the game winning single to win for Pitt.

CPU comeback ON, but I knew these comebacks were my fault. I threw some stupid pitches.....lol.

I know it's only one game, and one game does not a slider adjustment make. But still, I noticed an instant improvement.

Thank you for making these sliders available. I'll keep reporting back!

Re: Ballin095's All-Star Sliders... Probably The Most Realistic Slider Set Available

i bought this game a month ago and i read your slider thread the next day. i went on to try to find another set because they looked really crazy to me. after trying and trashing every other set i've tried, i decided to try yours. getting great results!!!!!! some slugfests/some 1-0 pitcher's duels/and many in-between. i'm sort of using the normal sliders(with easy hum pitching 9/9 control and consistency because i suck at pitching and by what i've read the ps2 version seems to be not as easy to control pitches) even on 9/9 i still walk 2-4 batters a game, but i don't miss my spots so badly which i find weighs heavily in the pitcher confidence value. even at 8/8 i would walk anywhere from 6-9 batters a game. i was afraid because hum contact and power were so low, but it works fine. i use a system where i guess location(using classic 1/4) until i get a strike. if i guess right i'll use power swing. once i get a strike i guess fastball without location to help read the pitches(i leave pitch speed at 4) and just use normal swing so i can check swing if needed. if the count gets to 3-1 with a power hitter i'll guess location again. through 25 games with the yankees(15-10 .279 ba 4.35 era 33 hr(not all using power, some just normal swing) ) sorry to be so long-winded but i just wanted people to see what finally worked for me.

Re: Ballin095's All-Star Sliders... Probably The Most Sim-Like Slider Set Available

I have been following this thread for sometime. I played my first game with these sliders last night and loved the feel of the game.

I played Twins v Rangers just like last nights boxscore.

With the Twins I won 5-4

went up 5-0 after 4 innings and held on in the ninth with Joe Nathan.

Had 11 hits to the Rangers (CPU) 9
Had one homer with Cuddyer and three doubles.
CPU had no homers and 3 doubles.
I drew 2 walks and the CPU had 3.
                  I struck out 10 times to the CPU's 8.

The Rangers (CPU) starter lasted to 5 1/3 and got pulled and my starter (liriano) made it to 6 1/3.

I am amazed at the quality of the atbats with both Contacts set at Zero.
Just a great feel to the game all around.
                  Thanks

I've been playin with psychobulks sliders, and let me tell you....these are insane!

I've had some really good games with these with the Tigers against the White Sox and Mariners. It's actually a lot fun. Great job!

Wish I had noticed these earlier in the year. Just played my first game with them, on hard, and beat the Astros 5-2 with Philadelphia. Cliff Lee over Roy Oswalt. 12 hits for the Phils, 8 for Houston. Only homer was a 400+ ft shot to center with Howard off Oswalt on a regular swing (non-power). Great job brother!

I just started using these last night, I had been using psycho's for an entire season and I finished 116-46, so I am looking for more of a challenge. I have tested HOF, but I feel the computers "cheats" above all-star level. First game I won 6-3 and the second game I won 21-9, am thinking I need to move up a level from normal to hard. My #5 starter gave up all nine runs, so I am not alarmed about that at all.
