dude its about time haha no I know it takes time but seriously Im not buying this game next year till u drop ur sliders. I needed the pitching sliders more than anything. Im on Legend for hitting with power at 2 and solid hits at 1 and still batting .280 contact and timing zeroed out so i think i'll leave that alone. Thanks man good work and it works great with classic by the way through 3 games. Small sample but Im gonna roll with it.

are you joking, or is there programming for mgr personality through out ea. team in MLB 2010?

PB, fascinating... your sliders are out... too bad for me it's time for bed now that im coming across your numbers. anyway, you got these numbers playing allstar, what type of pitching did you use, meter or classic, i forgot from last yrs... i was very curious what your numbers would be for user pitcher consistency firstly, and pitcher control secondly... there have been arguments on other threads that the default setting is fine this yr for classic pitching, while others state you need to up them for classic pitching due to the apparent change in classic pitching 'feel' this yr... based on another slider set out before yours, it was built on metered pitching and the control and consistency settings were below default. i tried out the slider set and the pitching aspect didn't feel right as i felt i should be raising them, not lowering them. with yours out i see you have user pitcher consistency waaay up to 7. i've only tried 1 game as far up as 6, so i'm interested how your set will play out. another thing that's readily interesting is your decision on CPU strike frequency of only 3. right out of the box i felt default was too sharp for the CPU... i've only kept it at 4, one below default, but you're validating me on 3... i thought 4 was pretty fair already though but now i'm curious how it will feel down to 3. this setting did not make back of rotation starters have a rough time throwing strikes and thus walk alot of batters above avg? anyway, damn, why do i have work tomorrow?

These seem to work great even with classic pitching. I was able to control my pitches more than I haven been with some other sliders but I do throw errant pitches from time to time which actually happens in real life so im happy. I may lower cpu strike frequency by one and go from there. Nice work Psycho.

" Fielder reaction must have to do with the initial jump the assist provides or work in the " OPPOSITE DIRECTION ".

He means, which I agree the fielders react too quickly. Meaning that they will dive too soon, causing them to get hit in the body or face with the ball. I've seen this happen many times with my slider set, and fielder reaction is set at default.

Ok here is a small take from 4 games into my franchise.

No stats since it is a small sample, but here is a quick rundown.

First 3 games w/Cubs(me) vs. Braves.

Atlanta pitching staff was tough. Never did capitalize on opportunities w/runners on base and swung at too many balls.
Only managed 6 hits in 3 games. Too anxious for the opening series. 3 Losses despite a team ERA of 2.86

                Next game v. Reds.
Exercised more patience and hammered Cueto for 4 runs in 5 innings but Randy Wells coulnd't find the zone and lost it in the end giving up 4 in the 6th to go down 9-4.

So far so good.......more to follow w/ season stats

Psycho - Your sliders look good! They are very close to the set I have and probably have a very similar feel. I used your sliders last year and loved them, just figured I would try making my own set this year and would go to your set if things didn't work out with mine.

Anyway, I'm thinking about bumping up Contact, Power and Timing for both the HUM & CPU to the default 5 that you have them set at. I currently have them all set at 4 and am getting very good results - I'm just not seeing any offensive explosions. My games are consistently in the 4-2, 5-3, 4-2, 4-1 range with the occasional 2-1 games sprinkled in there. I'd like to see just a little more offense with the occasional outburst.

Right now my sliders are exactly what I would want from a lot of games - but just not every game.....know what I mean.

Raising it to 10 would make them not react as fast ?? So your saying the slider works the opposite way it's actually supposed to ?

Love the sliders Psycho but I had to move uo to HOF on both pitching and hitting. On hitting I was having way too easy of a time getting hits and working counts. Pitching I was letting up a decent amount of runs but rarely walked people. I've played about 8 games and havent seen alot of errors. Anyone else having that problem? Either way great sliders!

No, raising it to 10 could make them react too quickly. Meaning your infielders dive too soon, only to have the ball hit their chest, or face other than in their glove...know what i mean?

So a happy medium would be 7/8?

Do they react to slow on 5 ( default ) ? I haven't really noticed, but i only played a handful of games so far.

I hear ya Titus, just misunderstood for a sec.
