Sorry TNK, I don't mean to question you in your thread, but 'consensus' is flat out wrong. Unless, you mean 'consensus' on your sliders, in which case, I apologize for not getting you.

But doesn't Psychobulk use Timing Only?

      What are you talking about???
I mean with our sliders.....but it seems ike the most people that are happy with hit variety, stats, etc use Zone - I could be wrong though

        99% swing with "X"

Power swing once or twice a game with a bopper in a hitters count

Contact swing in big at bats when down in the count

I'm going to do this as well. I've been using power swing for almost any hitters count not taking the batter into consideration, the same with contact swing in a pitchers count.

Anyone who uses analog don't be afraid to use it with these sliders.
              They work great.

I'm having such a great time with this game and these sliders it's sick. I'm currently 7-10 in my pre-roster season(once the rosters come out I'm starting a new one) I use Classic Pitching and Timing hitting with amazing results. If anyone is having a hard time getting hits use HighHeats rules to hitting. They helped me immenesly.

I agree...though I've since went back to meter pitching (I miss my spots way too often with analog), I stuck with Analog Hitting and am very happy I did. Once you get the hang of it, and the timing of your hitters front steps down, I'd wager that most ppl would prefer analog over the other 2. I can definitely understand why some ppl would be turned off by it though....different strokes and all that.

I read through the past few pages, and have to agree with stealing bases being rather easy. I have yet to add the 2 tweaks though, so hopefully that fixes the problem.

Great job with these sliders though. Like most, my main issues is hitting the ball, and being patient. Once you get it in your head to be patient, everything falls right into place. Beautiful job fellas...

I like the fact that I miss my spots a lot using analog. It gives me much better separation from a #1 starter to a mop-up reliever or 5th starter.

TNK/Psycho, If I switch to classic pitching would you guys recommend raising pitcher control and, or consistency?

I used to use meter, but switched to classic pitching last year because I found meter to be a bit too accurate. And I find this to be the same for this year. With meter pitching I am really able to nibble the corners and throw A LOT of strikes. With classic pitching I feel that my pitch count is a lot more realistic and a few more battles where I find myself in some 2-0 counts, and even get into a situation where I walk some guys. Rarely walked guys with meter.

Maybe it has to do with my style of using meter, I don't know, but for me classic is really the way to go.

And I messed with all three hitting styles so far, and do agree that zone is probably the best option. Timing is very appealing to me because it is a bit less work on my part, it allows me to play the game a bit more casually, but zone hitting does seem to produce the best results.

I also have switched to auto fielding, but manual throwing. Auto fielding has produced some amazing results and I think is a far more fair way to play this game. Plus it makes the animations much better.

I don't know - Can the guys using classic elaborate on if you had to tweak anything?

For classic I haven't changed anything either, and it works great for me as well.

Like I said before, I get better results with the classic using these pitching sliders as posted than with the meter.
