Control most directly impacts meatballs.

Consistency can have some effect, but my experience says little directly, other than walks increase and pitch confidence decreases with a lowered consistency; resulting in more meat pitches.

Edit: This is opinion, and not necessarily fact. I mean, it's a fact to me, but just to be clear, I do not know this with absolute certainty.

For analog pitching I think it does. It makes the yellow line bigger when u are more consistent. I also noticed that when u are a bit off after a few runs or so or tired that even if u snap the stick left and up it may go way right anyways.

Re: TNK & PsychoBulk ***The Perfect Slider Set 2011 Edition***

TNK and Bulk awesome job with these!!!
Only changes I made were Manager hook back to default 5 and Pickoffs down to 3.
I use them with analog everything and they play great!
Played 3 games with them and they were 3 of the most intense baseball games I've played in a long time.
I really like the solid hits at 2 for both teams. Seems to bring out many more fielding animations and a lot more hit varitey.
I'm still striking out a lot but in the games where I can put some hits together and actually get a hold of a pitch or 2 for extra bases it feels very rewarding.
I'm drawing walks (including a 14 pitch AB with Alex Rodriguez in my last game) and I am also walking the CPU.
I lost 5-3 as the Orioles to Colorado, lost 3-1 as the O's against Toronto and beat Cleveland as the Yankees 5-4 in 10 innings.
All 3 games I struggled on the mound early but really settled in. I had to pull CC in the 6th of my last game as he was at 106 pitches. I came back from 4-2 in the seventh to win in the 10th.
The pitcher/batter battles feel spot on with these. I'm getting some high pitch at bats and really working the count more than before. Having the CPU not throw for 80% strikes really helps with this. A few relief pitchers were even around 50% in the games I played.
Again, really good stuff here.

Re: TNK & PsychoBulk ***The Perfect Slider Set 2011 Edition***

Great first game playing with these. Oakland at Minnesota (me as the Twins) Only change for me was using veteran hitting\ analog batting. Have had a ton of trouble seeing the low ball so vet batting has been a help to me. Did make a custom view from C though that has helped a lot so may be switching up to AS soon. Yeah, I did end up striking-out 11 times but it didn't feel cheap, Breslow was throwing absolute BB's. He dominated while in the game and while frustrating it was nice to see.

Good variety of hits. Had my doubts with the pitching settings but yes walks are there to be had. Only got 2 but had a bad strike three call that took away another and with a bit more patience I could see getting one or two more in this game. Also the first set of sliders I've played where I didn't feel the need to lower the power slider to 3 or 4.

Total foul balls only 32. MLB is ~50 out of play per game. Small one game sample but will keep an eye on it.

Barring a patch making some drastic in-game changes (don't think this will be the case) I think these aren't going to take a lot of tweaks to get them just right. Between these sliders, Knights upcoming roster, and my new custom batting view I am excited about getting a franchise going with my Cubs.

Re: TNK & PsychoBulk ***The Perfect Slider Set 2011 Edition***

so I tested the latest slider updates a lot and there two sliders you shoul touch a bit again to many passed wild pitches (1-2 per inning) where the catcher have to run after and the vaserunners can move on, lower this slider -1 and I find it much more realistic, the catcher blocks pitches with his body often. Second thin is the throwing ball error ... also lower it -1, with your set up I had 10 games with 1-2 throwing errors per game (except one game with no error)
but I think thats to much...
last touch should be the basestealing succes... in my opion it should be at 6 because good basestealers like gardner and crawford thrown out to often... and the reason why I change it to 6 was that I thow out Roberts (orioles) with a terrible high throw with Jaso and Lopez had to jump to reach it but he got Roberts with no problems ...

But great work keep it on

I'm not having thsoe problems......what batting/pitching/throwing interfaces are you using?

I use Zone Hitting / Meter Pitch / Button Throwing

I think I have had maybe 1 maybe 2 throwing errors in the last 5 games. Are you over throwing using the stick/interface? I use button throwing and I never hold down the button because that results in stronger throws and obviously more risk of a throwing error. I just give it a quick tap or a little mnore firm of a tap if I need a strong throw, but I never holdit down.

Passed Balls haven't been a problem - they have been there, but I owuldn't say the ball has been getting away and runners are just running all over the place because of it. THIS COULD BE DUE TO YOUR PITCHING INTERFACE - and not for nothing, passed balls happen when you screw the pooch on your delivery. You don't aim for a corner and nail the pitch delivery and get passed balls.

Base Stealing - Are you getting good leads? I haven't had an issue with this either. I have had Crawfford or Ellsbury get thrown out, but as long as they get a good lead and it's not a pitchout - they steal the base 9 times out of 10.

I'm not going to make any changes right now based off 1 person making these suggestions. There are plenty of people using these sliders and it's not a common theme. You can certainly make some tweaks yourself to better fit your gaming style, but I'm not making changes to the master set based on this.

Is Zone hitting where you need to place the Left stick Up down left or right where the ball is traveling acorss the plate?? Will this slider set work for just Timing Hitting and pressing the button?

i´m using timing for hitting and classic for pitching and I throw with button like you, BUT my suggestions aren´t for myself ! it´s all for the cpu except the throwing errors...

I mean you can´t say there no passed balls on wild pitches, in 10 games reached a base 4-7 times a game

also basestealing is a problem for the cpu not for me, I throw crawford out 2 times in one game, and gardner in another

situation: crawford, he leaps off and and I throw a fastball and got him without a problem (2times)

gardner: he also take a step of the base and normaly I would pitchout or throw to first but I want test it and I throw an off speed pitch think it was a changeup and i throw him out, too

so again it´s not a problem for me but for the cpu and this is a bit like cheating and don´t get pissed I wrote I like your slider very much !!!!

We appreciate your feedback matz21 but i agree with TNK, i simply havent seen these things you have become issues.

Let me be clear i am not agreeing with TNK simply because we created the set together, if i think hes wrong and something needs changing im going to tell him, as he will me, we can both take and indeed want constructive criticism if we are to see where these may need tweaking, but, as of now, we are happy as is.

I use Classic pitching and I have passed balls but understand also, if you have a guy on third base and you throw a breaking ball thats the risk you take just like in real life. Lincecum has a low control rating in his curve, you throw that pitch with a guy on base thats the risk of throwing that pitch. Understand your pitcher and the movement of his pitches and you will be fine. I dont use meter for the simple fact is you dont walk anybody maybe 1-2 a game per pitcher. I use classic and I had Dallas Braden walk 5 guys and that was with strike zone on. Thats not a criticism, if you like meter cool, I just think with classic its a little out of your hands which to me is more sim like.

i don't know if this is an issue with the game or the sliders, but it seems the AI swings more often than previous versions. what can i try to get the computer to be more patient? the rest of sliders play great. awesome job fellas!

Love the sliders. Only change I made was dropping CPU Strike Frequency from 1 back to 0. At zero, the CPU walks me about four times a game which is 100% more then they did in last years game.

Other then that one little change these sliders are awesome.
