I mean you can´t say there no passed balls on wild pitches, in 10 games reached a base 4-7 times a game

also basestealing is a problem for the cpu not for me, I throw crawford out 2 times in one game, and gardner in another

situation: crawford, he leaps off and and I throw a fastball and got him without a problem (2times)

gardner: he also take a step of the base and normaly I would pitchout or throw to first but I want test it and I throw an off speed pitch think it was a changeup and i throw him out, too

so again it´s not a problem for me but for the cpu and this is a bit like cheating and don´t get pissed I wrote I like your slider very much !!!!
I'm definitely not pissed.....I hope my reply doesn't come off that way. But, I was being 100% honest when I say that I haven't had that problem and nobody else has reported having those issues. Psycho and I can not go changing these things based off one guy saying he is seeing X or Y as an issue....especially if we are seeing nothing close to that gripe. I have had the CPU runners steal on me and I have thrown CPU runners out. Likewise, I have had my runners steal and had my runners thrown out.

All I can tell you is to make some tweaks to better suit yourself using the sliders. We appreciate you using them and you saying you like them, but it's not something we are going to make an adjustment to the master set at this point in time.

Re: TNK & PsychoBulk ***The Perfect Slider Set 2011 Edition***

The slider set has been downloaded 489 times and is currently the 2nd most downloaded set on SportsConnect

The set has an 85% approval rating and is currently the highest rated set on SportsConnect

We do ask that you guys that are using them and are happy with them please rate the sliders with a "Like" on SportsConnect to keep the approval rating high as I'm sure there are other people who post sliders on there that will "dislike" them just to knock the rating down.

      Thanks Guys

        FWIW,

I absolutely agree with Psycho and TNK on their raising of the Fielding Errors slider.

I actually had to lower steal success with my slider set.

Anyway, this post was mainly just to pat the backs of the two of them.

I've hit a deep flyball a couple of times in rtts only for the fielder to throw the tagging baserunner out at homebase with throws from the wall. Can't think that should happen.

Playing strictly exhibition games - I have seen nothing even close to that happening

Can I ask why you have Solid Hits set to 2? Not criticizing, just curious on your thinking for it.

I've tried zero....two has worked well, getting very good hit variety

If you have it at 5 - you will see too many line drives or smoked grounders......reducing solid hits brigs better hit variety, bloops, slow rollers, choppers, etc.....this also results in more fielding animations as if 99% of balls are hit solid, you don't have the infielders charging, etc.

Question: Does decreasing the solid hit slider affect the hits to outfield at all? Or will it just affect the hit variety for those to infield?

That's what I was wondering...if maybe it would actually result in more hits. Seems I've been seeing a lot of well hit balls that simply result in outs. I'll give it try tonight and see if I can get a few to drop in front of OF'ers now and then.

I got the game today and just finished my first game.
I used Timing hitting, Classic pitching and Analog fielding (all All-Star).

I didn't get a hit until the 5th inning. But then I scored in back-to-back innings and let Pelfrey keep going. A 3-hit shutout.. I won't complain about that.

I won't have much time to play this weekend as I will be away from home, but I hope to get at least one game in tomorrow before I leave.

I liked the feel of the game. Tomorrow I'll use two back-of-the-rotation starters and see how it turns out (different teams, too).

                        2 works great.
Gives the ball just enough steam to sneak through the infield on some weak grounders, or be hit softly enough to drop in front of the outfielders for a bloop hit.
When your hitting struggles like mine does these types of hits are a blessing.

How does solid hits at 2 affect batting averages? The slider suggests it will lower batting averages. I currently have both power and solid hits at 4. My concern in regards to lowering further is that the batting averages of the players who typically hit for a good average will be reduced to unrealistic levels. Are you finding that? And how does this affect homerun numbers? I was seeing too many which is why I lowered that slider to 4. Does keeping power at 5 and lowering solid hits to 2 lower homeruns?

                            It doesn't affect HR's

it shouldn't have an adverse affect on averages......you will now get hits on slow rollers or bloopers that may have been a laser that gets caught before.

I have been getting good hit totals in games so far and nobody has really had problems getting hits

AHEM.....I have, but that has nothing to do with your sliders. I'm continuing to practice practice practice in the BP modes and start doing better there but when I come back into an actual game.......I can't hit my way out of a wet paper bag!!! My timing is waaaay off and my quality of hits are nowhere near to what I was getting in BP

I even went right from hitting against a certain pitcher during an extended BP session straight into a game facing the same pitcher and still had problems hitting

My timing is waaaay off and my quality of hits are nowhere near to what I was getting in BP

I even went right from hitting against a certain pitcher during an extended BP session straight into a game facing the same pitcher and still had problems hitting
it's all patience, timing, pitch selection
