Hey TNK. What are you seeing as far as steals go? I'm in a season and everytime I steal a base the CPU catcher always throws too high and I'm safe. I've been purposely stealing with slower, crappy base runners and I still have a high success rate. Just wanted your thought on it.

Sorry maybe I need to rephrase my question. I use timing hitting and wondered if you only hit using the x button or do you sometimes use the contact or power buttons?Last edited by ukslamjam; 03-28-2011, 03:00 PM.Comment

Re: TNK & PsychoBulk ***The Perfect Slider Set 2011 Edition***
I don't use the Power Swing barely ever - maybe once a game if I am in a hitters count with a slugger and I'm looking to go yard.
I use the "x" button for regular swing 99% of the time
I do use the "circle" button for contact swings sometimes if I'm down 0-2 or 1-2 in the count and I'm trying to stay alive and make sure I put the ball in play.....usually at times when I just can't afford a strike outComment

I have one confession...in an effort to get more walks, I lowered CPU control and consistency without even trying the initial settings as I have always had a hard time drawing walks. However, this had the opposite effect so I decided to go to what you guys recommended and place them at your settings. I am drawing more walks as a result.
My point is, even though it was tough for me to swallow the logic (and I'm sure it's the same with others), these guys are SPOT ON with CPU control and consistency if you want walks. A little patience and you will draw walks. I've drawn 4 pitch walks, battled out 9 pitch at-bats that resulted in walks, things that I would never get by lowering the control and consistency of the CPU as you would always get a fat pitch to put in play. Sit on your pitch in early counts and hitters counts, battle when you're down and the walks are definitely there...work, work, work the count!!!
Two key points for me were to realize that 0-2 or 1-2, you're gonna get junk out of the zone a LOT. And sometimes its better to take a borderline pitch and end up K'ing than putting it in play (especially in double play situations) because you're not gonna get good contact and you're running an increased risk of GIDP or a pop up that's gonna result in an out anyways...striking out isn't the worst thing.
Just wanted to share my experiences and say thanks again, great work as always guys!! I'll be sure to rate tonight when I get on.Last edited by capnharry; 03-28-2011, 04:43 PM.Comment

Great set guys! I use analog across the board and get great results...I have games that are low scoring pitchers' duels as well as high scoring offensive outbursts and everything in between.
