Alright, I'm willing to listen, because reaction on 0 would be ideal for outfielders and cutting down on amazing plays.

Also, is anyone interested in a Veteran set? I know there may be some people who don't like playing on the high difficulties, and we could probably work something out and give you a set that would be great for you.

ILFT is going to have supposedly 3 videos for each test. Should be interesting to see.

Re: ILiveForThis and authentic's MLB Simulation Slider Project 2012

Alright, here we go. I have four parts to each reaction level. Each 'part' is related in what the fielders are doing in the play, just the reaction levels are polar opposites. This will be the best way to show how the fielders react, making it easier to compare. I show each play in full speed and then in slow speed, so you can see when the fielder starts to move, in retrospect to contact. So, to get started.. Part One, Plays In The Outfield.

            <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/8HjXXV3W0E8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

            <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/p13-b1Uq5LI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

As you can see, both of these lead to misplayed balls in the outfield. But, what is shocking about these is that Bourjos had the largest range of any CF last year in the Bigs. The fact that he can't get to this sinking liner (even with a dive) is amazing and realistic. Also, the missed dive is something I love to see as on Default, I feel it happens way too frequent. Part Two, Diving Plays.

            <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/pBW5p1EIfaU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

            <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/hSLp6D0d7XM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

In the first play, Pujols misses the dive at first and the balls bounces into Right Field. Realistically, Hunter notices this AFTER the ball is over Pujols, and makes a late break to help him out, allowing the runner to advance to third. As related to the play on 10 Reaction, Hanley KNOWS where the ball is going and even DIVES FORWARD towards the hard hit grounder, making a hard reaction play look like Little League Baseball. Part Three, Grounders to Short.

            <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/OjKG0XBHWQg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

            <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/b1ZXThASaMA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

In the first video, Reyes hits a hard grounder to Aybar's right and he watches it roll into Left Field, not even an attempt or a chance in sight. In relation to the second video, where another hard roller is hit in the gap where the third-baseman can't get to it, Aybar magically gloves it and gets a fading throw off to First WITHIN milliseconds. The runner was safe, but yet he made the play possible. Part Four, Grounders to Second.

            <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/fnFh3lALvdk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

            <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Q7XqNcvdr_w" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

The first video is a grounder hit to Kendrick's forehand in which he reaches and barely snags it, throwing back to second to get the force (Not sure why the CPU made that throw.. yet they got the out). In the second video, Infante goes to his backhand (both plays travel about the same distance) and easily snags the balls, taking his time and throws to first. (The throw was an error, but that wasn't the point)

All in all, you can see the differences between Reaction at 0 and at 10. I feel that 0 makes the game more natural and flowing, compared to 10 where it is filled with amazing plays and easy looking animations, even on plays that aren't made on the daily.

Re: ILiveForThis and authentic's MLB Simulation Slider Project 2012

I also did some baserunning tests with the Dodgers and this is what I found..

I tested two runners going from Home-to-Home and two runners going from Home-to-First. AJ Ellis and Dee Gordon raced around the bags and Matt Treanor and Matt Kemp raced to first. Surprisingly, the gap wasn't as different as it should be and the times were slowed down to Little League times.

              Matt Kemp Home-To-First: 4.2 Seconds
Matt Treanor Home-To-First: 4.8 Seconds (somewhat real)

              Dee Gordon Home-to-Home: 15.4 Seconds
              AJ Ellis Home-to-Home: 17.4 Seconds

Dee Gordon runs a 3.53 home to first. So, given some leeway on tiredness and turning the bases, he should be around a 13-14 with his time, not 15.4. Matt Kemp running a 4.2 is blasphemy, should be higher 3's such as 3.7ish. That half a second makes a difference. I haven't tested 1/2 yet but I'm hoping for not much of a difference.

Also, the play above that Bourjos misses the diving catch, the ball rolls to the deepest part of Marlins Park, the crease in Center Field. Logan Morrison was the hitter and he could only muster a triple out of it. Morrison isn't blazing fast but he is average/above-average on the bases and I believe he should have been able to round all 4 bases before the ball made it back to the infield. Take Peter Bourjos' inside-the-parker earlier this year. All it took was a bounce off the wall and a fielder to fall down and he had a stand-up inside-the-parker. This was a fielder diving and a ball rolling an extra 20-30 feet, and it only resulted in a triple.

              Just some food for thought..

Hey guys Im intrigued by these sliders. It seems you have put a ton of work into it. But Im curious about what adjust you think I should make with pulse pitching? I just like playing with it a little better because I have a little more to do than classic pitching.

                  YES.

As for your HOF set, is the set in OP current? Gonna give it a whirl minus the PS at 10. Tried it for a game and it was a victory just for me to lay wood on a pitch

We are going to make all of our sets compatible with pulse and classic preferably. I am going to put numbers in as well for meter and analog with all the sets as well though. I would recommend using pulse or classic with our set though.

Another speed test; Home-to-Home with Baserunner Speed at 0, 5, and 10 respectively.

                          AJ Ellis: 17.4, 15.9, 14.8
                          Dee Gordon: 15.4, 14.3, 13.4

At 5, it is the most realistic, yet at 0, it garners the biggest spread.
