Anybody having problems with walks - the problem is that you need to be more patient and get better at pitch recognition.

When I am on my game and being very selective at the plate - I have drawn more than 5 walks in a game.

Pitching - you need to not aim every pitch for a strike......throw the ball off the plate more and you will issue walks.

IT'S NOT A SLIDER ISSUE......not with any set......it's more of a video game issue in general and a matter of the user trying to paint with every pitch.

Don't be afraid to issue a walk if you fall behind 2-0 to a stud hitter.....instead of grooving a fastball over the plate, throw another one off the plate and put the guy on

Changing the camera has helped me significantly. Im drawing 3-5 walks a game. My problem is HRs, In my test franchise after 56 games, I had 32 HRs, good for last in the league, by a lot.

Now, 8 games in since OSFM rosters, I have 2 HRs. Time to up the power slider.

What are you doing with players like A-Rod and Jeter for your first game against the Yanks? You just leaving them in the lineup or moving them to DL?

What I'm doing is moving guys who are going to be back fairly quick into their lineups from Single A

Guys who are out for a while or the whole season I am leaving in the minors to start out the season

So your moving computer controlled teams rosters correct? (Yankees..etc) Not just the Redsox?

Made a new rtts with the OSFM rosters SP for the Cubs 2014 called up

First game 9.IP 2 H 12 SO's kind of surprised it was easy

I plan on having NYY has my team in my FRAN. I want to move the inj players (real life) to the minors to keep it real. Example Texeira can not be sent down without clearing waivers how do I get around that.

move them down before u start up the franchise via roster control.

You can also turn injuries to manual and manually put the injuries, placing them on the DL. Then turning injuries back to auto. Thats what I did with my Yankee franchise

Ok, so I have been using these sliders exclusively since I bought MLB 13 The Show. However, I did have one change that I made at the beginning, and that was to use TIMED hitting instead of ZONE. I was getting 3-5 hits per game, so not much offense going on. I was having issues with timing and patience at the plate as well. This was only one game so far, but I switched to ZONE this morning, and it made a huge difference. Just one game, but helped quite a bit in this one game. My patience and timing have improved as well, so that always helps. Anyways, here's a recap of my game, using TNK's sliders exactly how he has them:

Braves (Me) @ Astros

I won the game 5-4. It was probably one of the best baseball games I've ever had in a videogame, and that goes back years and years.

Top of 1st, Jason Heyward was my second batter and jacked the first pitch out for a solo HR.

Bottom 1st, Jed Laurie jacked a 2-run HR off Medlen.

Bottom 2nd, they add a 3rd run.

I add a run in the 5th. I left all sort of runners on base though throughout the middle 1/3 of the game. One inning, had Uggla up bases loaded and popped out to infield.

Medlen cruises after 2nd inning until the bottom of the 8th when Laurie hits another HR off him, a solo shot this time. I put Venters in to pitch and get the last out of the 8th.

Top 9th, Upton gets out, Heyward singles, other Upton gets out, Freeman draws a walk, and up comes Brian McCann. Top 9, 2 outs, gets a full count...and then I crush a 3 run HR with him to take the lead.

Bring in Kimbrel in bottom 9th, he gets 2 K's and an easy save.

Was a great game for all 9 innings. I can't remember the last time I got 14 hits in one game, lol. Maybe MLB 11 The Show...

McCann 4 for 5, 2 singles, 1 Double, 1 HR, 3 RBI
Justin Upton 3 for 5
Jason Heyward 2 for 5, Solo HR

Venters got the Win.
Kimbrel got the Save.

Their starter left game in the 6th with the lead. I got his pitch count up to 100 by end of 6th inning. My eye and patience at plate was good for once. I drew 3 walks in the game. Only struck out 5 times. I didn't walk any batters and threw 9 Ks with Medlen/Venters/Kimbrel.

Tnks if you turn the strike zone on when showing pics of your camera angle then it's easier to line the camera up with things in the background

Man, I have blasted 10 HR's in the first two games against the Yankees. And that is with Power at 4 and contact at 6! I am assuming that this is just a hot streak for the Red Sox, but man, if this keeps up, somebody better call the Commissioner!

Can't score runs. Through 6 games I have 2 runs. Every CPU pitcher seems to paint on command and i have nothing but weak hits. Oh I have had 2 doubles also. Not much offense at all. Really getting old.

Yeah Wandy was way off and when he was on it was Greg Maddux like. Unhittable and on the edge of the strike zone.

Had a few hard hit balls but they were all directly at players. Could have been bad luck but I'll keep testing them.

Does "Timing Hitting" ruin these or make no difference?
